Perhaps we visited at an inopportune time, unclothed man running freely was beginning of this saga to looking for a future home for my father/inquiring about the Kelly Lake Manor property for sale. Price seemed ok for a personal care home. Met staff member, name stated with a "M", signed in and then horrible things begin, worker asks 75 questions about why I'm there, man semi unclothed from waist down was running around, she later apologized and said he was mental and had not had his meds, we were forbidden to go upstairs "those are boarders". I was informed this home is licensed for 6 and the rest are living there as boarders. Kelly Lake Manor has NO age minimum. This home has a no drinking or drugs policy. 30 days required to evaculate and eviction immediate upon owner notification. Questions: is your dad mobile? Good. We are required to provide 3 meals per day and snacks. Most gone at field trips. Transportation ain't included, can he swallow and take his own pills? All the while telling someone to set the table for 12, looked at posted menu and it didn't appear to be what was being served. Laundry is done by same staff member and boarders are allowed to use on Tuesdays and weekends. How can 1 person effectively manage a licensed Personal Care Home? Smokers are allowed.

I visited Kelly Lake Manor, and the owner was very nice, but the staff was a little cold. It was away from the street which was good, but I noticed that they had stairs, and the door to the stairway was obscure. They did not provide snacks, and transportation for medical visits, and I just wasn't pleased. I was there during lunch time, and the lunch wasn't appealing to me.
