"My husband will be moving into Belmont Village Buckhead. They have gone above and beyond to help me get a hospital bed. We've been working together to make sure they have the information they need.The person that had sent the information over today from the doctor because some of the information wasn't complete. He texted me and let me know. That is important because I can get involved and push it through to make sure they get it completed. They truly are just a great facility. They're very accommodating and very helpful because I'm going into this not knowing anything. They have helped me and walked me through the different things, so it's been wonderful. They're truly wonderful. The rooms are beautiful, well done, and very pretty. The dining area is beautiful, and their food is great. The staff who gave me the tour was so helpful."

"Sunrise of Decatur was excellent. When we got there, my dad was in a wheelchair and they were able to assist him to get out of the car. They gave us a tour and walked us around the whole facility and to the room size that he'd be moving into. We had lunch and they were very upfront about the pricing. The staff was excellent. It's fairly new so everything was very nice and clean."

"My friend is in The Mann house. My friend has Amyotropic Lateral Sclerosis, so he requires both skilled nursing and long-term care. It very much feels like a home. The place only has 25 residents. There's lots of space and nice amenities. A lot of things can be taken care of for you. They have a pharmacy and they have a doctor that comes in on site. They have pedicures, a podiatrist that comes in regularly, and lots of services there. It's a really lovely place. The staff was very caring, very open, and they have all been there for quite a while. They have suites with 2 rooms and a room that is all by itself. They have handicap accessible showers and big windows that look out on the garden area. They have a common area with a grand piano, an area where they can do activities, they have two screened-in porches that are wheelchair accessible, and a small gazebo outside."

"Medlock Gardens was very nice. I met with the business manager there, Deidre. When I arrived, all the staff was very friendly and very welcoming. The facility was very pretty. It was fresh and clean. It didn't have any odors or anything. It was well-kept. The young lady that assisted me on the tour was very patient. She was very resourceful. She had a wealth of information. She described and showed me everything. I didn't have an opportunity to try the food, but they did invite me back at a later date when I had more time if I wanted to. The dining area looked very nice. The residents that I did see were of varying ages, but they looked happy from what I could see. Dinner and a Movie is one of the recreational activities when I did the tour, so I thought that was very nice. It was very intimate and inviting. It had a nice, homey feel."

"It was a nice assisted living, and our visit was very pleasant and very informative. The one-room apartment had a bed, shower and a little kitchen. They had a list of activities, and the dining area was very nice, spacious and beautifully decorated."

"We visited Oaks at Tucker for assisted living. We enjoyed the tour. They prepared lunch for us, and it was very nice. Everything was good. The facilities and the meals were excellent."

"I visited Woodland Ridge Assisted Living & Memory Care. They offer hair appointments, there's a cafeteria, breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and there are common areas for sitting. There are planned activities, and they have bingo. They also have a bus that runs a schedule that will take you to the grocery store and things like that. They offer laundry services for a separate fee. I was completely fine with that facility. It was my mother that didn't want to move. The staff was very informative and friendly. I saw them interact with the residents. We did talk to a couple of the residents who said that the food was very good, and we were able to view the menu of what they were having daily. The residents are required to go to the cafeteria to eat. They're not allowed to bring the food from the cafeteria to the rooms. I saw three rooms for a single person category. They were all very well-maintained, clean, and very nice rooms. You could see the view from inside the building. Some of the apartments overlooked the common sitting area. It had benches and nice landscaping. It was a clean facility. It had live-in support, a small dog that the residents all interacted with. You could tell they all knew and loved the dog."

"I toured Brighton Gardens of Dunwoody. I liked everything about it. The facility is in great condition. The staff was very warm and friendly. I was impressed with the tenure of a lot of the folks on the staff. The amenities that were there all seemed like they were top-shelf. I saw a one-bedroom, and it was very nicely done. Lauren was very good."

"My mother has been at Smyrna Village for about a week now. First of all, I like that it's pretty quiet. The staff is nice. They took control of getting the application processed and the switching of the doctor. They did a very good job of doing that for me. She's in a private room there. Another thing I found that's pretty cool is they supply the toiletries and stuff like that, and I thought that was a nice touch. The staff is very helpful and the communication is pretty good. They always answer the phone and they go through the process of actually helping you. I had Thanksgiving dinner with them. They have a cook at the location, which I thought was good. So, the food was hot. They have a nice active common area. The residents are interacting in the common area."

"My mom moved in and it was the best place for my mother's needs. The people were incredibly caring, and the facilities were lovely. I've eaten there a few times, and the food was very good. I've talked to other people, and I heard only good things about the facility. The grounds are beautiful, and they have a very nice outdoor patio area with a barbecue and a sunroom. The location is great and has a very good proximity to different things. They have trivia, music programs, chair fitness, movies, games, and special programs for holidays."

"My mother moved into The Berman Commons in October of 2020. It was a good experience but I was frustrated with a cascade of changes in staffing for the next year plus. Since then it has been as close to perfect as I could hope for! The staff from Denise (CEO), to Nardos (D. of Nursing) to floor staff, admin and maintenance have been AMAZING! Their basic care was (of course) exemplary but it's all the extra things that really put my (and my mother's) experience over the top. From general flexibility to obvious and actual personal empathy, mother's level of care is everything I could ask for. The staff is not only professional but clearly take personal stake in the residences' well being and the extended families' comfort level. Transparency and heartfelt sentiment color all aspects of my experience with The Berman. I am so thankful that my mother is in such a great place! I extent a HUGE thank you to all the staff for their amazing level care and responsible custodianship! "

"The tour at Summerset Assisted Living was great. The person who took us around was very good. Everything was nice, neat, and clean. The information that they had given us was great. They explained everything simply, and they were very professional. They did everything thoroughly, clearly, and gave us literature, and I understood everything. The common areas were organized and nice."

"I went to All in One Personal Care. I liked it because it was nice and clean, and the caregiver was friendly and knowledgeable. She gave me a lot more information. So, if I had to choose a place, I would put him there. The structure was great, it was clean, no odor. I highly recommend it. It has a real peaceful atmosphere, serenity. It was a small house, but it was only about three rooms where she could hold up to four partitions at a time, but it was nice."

"I visited the memory care facility of Regal Pointe at East Cobb. They are good at listening, but quite salesy. When we were at this other place we were also touring, the person there knew a lot of the names of the people and asked somebody questions like have they drank water, and then asked somebody on the staff to get them water. As we're touring this place, though, we saw somebody there standing, nobody was with her, her mouth hung open, but the person we were touring with didn't say hi or address her. He said excuse me and walked around her and then closed the door. He told me sorry and that he had to close the door because she might come in. This is a person who knows who she is, so that didn't feel great to me. He really listened to me and talked about how he got into this because of his own parents. However, after we toured the rest of the facility, and as we were going into the memory care, he said, "This is going to be really sad". I feel like that's how he sees it, and projecting it like that felt like he didn't respect the people who were in that wing. The room size was fine, but I think my biggest concern was that there was an overpowering smell of urine. I would expect that there'll be some urine in some places, especially since it's lunch and on a memory care wing where there's going to be a lot more incontinence. Other than that, the dining area looks satisfactory, and the parking was easy. I would say that on the assisted living side, it was clean with interesting facilities and activities. However, the memory care side was just depressing. My grandparents were in a nursing home through my teen years, and I'm not usually one to say I was triggered by something, but I was triggered by something there. I came home and literally sat in a chair for a while."
