"The Addison of Oviedo was very clean. We didn't get to go to the rooms because once we learned it was self-pay, it just wasn't going to work for us. The staff who gave the tour was very helpful and kind of told me what other places to look for and to make sure it's a facility that takes insurance and stuff like that, so she put me on the right road. We did look inside, and the entryway was very beautiful. It just wasn't going to fit our needs, but it's certainly a place I would like to go if I ever had to go."

"I toured Palm Cottages. They were very nice people. They're just as good as the other facility, but they're not quite as close to me here. Other than that, they're about the same. The facilities were very clean. They had dedicated people for each little cottage. The staff members were great. They had a lot of activities going on."

"My uncle has moved into CERTUS Premier Memory Care Living - Waterford Lakes. It's amazing, clean, and thoughtful in the care of people with memory issues. The staff is very well trained in dealing with people who have memory issues. They're easy to talk to. I keep in touch with them often. We're confident that my uncle is in a safe place. I had a meal there, and it was good. The chef had 30 years of experience at Disneyworld. The majority of the food is from scratch and what little meal we had was very good. There are a lot of things available to residents. My uncle at this time does not want to participate in anything, but there are many activities and there's a monthly calendar posted. When my cousin and I walked in there for our tour, we said we wouldn't mind living there ourselves."

"We toured The Brennity at Melbourne. We had breakfast there, and we've eaten dinner there in the past with other people who live there. The lady who took us around did a great job. We talked to the lady at breakfast. She'd come and attend to us even though it was a buffet, and was very attentive. We talked with the person who did the pool stuff and took care of the pool classes. The outside is nice. If you go outside the gates, there are sidewalks you can walk on and go to some places; if not, you can take the little van, and they will take you to appointments. The common areas are very nice, and the rooms are a good size. We found two that would be perfectly fine. One had one bedroom, and the other had two bedrooms. They had a two-bedroom that was a little bit different from the configuration that we liked. They had a little area outside the kitchen that you could use, like an alcove to put a desk or something in. We saw some good things there."

"I toured Tremont. I liked all of it. I liked the setting, which was like a country setting. I like the dining room. It was a beautiful place. The rooms were nice. Everybody was very friendly. Everything was great with that place, however, my friend was not going to be able to stay at that one because she thought that she'd be better off in an assisted living place. The staff was very helpful and accommodating. She was just a nice person. I just saw the dining room and everything was just great with that. They have a salon. They have transportation to and back from doctor visits. The transportation, I think twice a week or at least once a week to a place like Walmart or one of the stores there."

"Madison at Oviedo is outstanding. The personnel were also outstanding. The food looked very good. The facilities are ample. It's really nice. The place is pricey, but at least you got a high-quality place. They were very friendly, very amicable, very communicative, and very open. The building was very well kept, and it looks very good. The size and the layouts were very nice, too. The atmosphere felt comfortable."

"We had dinner at Gentry Park Orlando. They give you 2 or 3 options with each meal. So, you have some variety. The facility is new, clean, and very appealing. They have a movie room and an activities room. The apartments are kept in excellent condition. They have a bus that takes the residents to the doctor's appointments and several different stores. Then they have an outing where they go to dinner. So, they have lots of activities and it's maintained well."

"I visited the Arden Courts of Winter Springs. I was quite impressed with it. We are discussing it today with the children, and I think that is where we will choose. I like that they're a memory care facility and that they put a lot of thought into it, taking into account the residents living there and how they will interact with each other. They have smaller units that are ideal for people with memory care. I asked about the staff turnover; I thought this would tell you something about the management of the place. They are all there mostly for 10 years or more, so there is consistency in care, which is important with memory care. They have lots of outdoor spaces, too. They have a library and a place where residents can exercise or get together. They have a huge community space."

"I toured The Savoy Gracious Retirement Living. It was beautiful. It had everything you needed and wanted. It was perfect. I'm afraid if I had any medical problems, they would not keep me there long. It had a small kitchen and a bathroom. It was a studio apartment, and they had a good sale. The person who took me around was very helpful, and they had three meals."

"I went to visit a friend's mother while I was in town. She was in the memory care unit. The unit was very clean and the smell was very pleasant. The residents were all dressed nice and some of the ladies had make-up on. The staff was helping the residents play BINGO which I thought was awesome. I was allowed to walk with her to her room and I was so impressed how she was able to have furniture from home and pictures of her family in her room. Everything was awesome. Even the food looked delicious. "

"We toured Lexington Place. It's a nice community. It's relatively modern and up-to-date. It lacks a swimming pool or any scenery, but other than that, it's a nice facility. The staff was very good. They try to keep you entertained and keep you busy. It's nice they have guests who offer musical entertainment. It sounded very nice as far as the activity is concerned."

"My mother lived at Titusville Towers for over 12 years and I have visited there sometimes several times a week. I have no idea what these people with negative comments are talking about. This is the only assisted living facility that offers only full size apartments....living room, kitchen, bedroom, etc. I have NEVER seen the place dirty and have NEVER smelled urine. I can only guess these comments are written by disgruntled employees who couldn't live up the the standards of this facility. They have always employed a full time chef and it is not a cafeteria style dining room. Every resident is offered five choices of a meal at all sittings......and the dining room staff actually serves each and every resident every meal. And every thing I have eaten there has been delicious. The activities are several times a week and my mother has been taken to the zoo, gambling boat cruises, to the beach and various restaurants in the area. Every holiday is celebrated and on major holidays family members are invited to come for a special meal with their loved ones. AND....they charge about half of what the other assisted living facilities charge!! I would certainly recommend Titusville Towers "

"We love Titusville Rehabilitation & Nursing Center. The attention that they give to my mother-in-law is amazing and everybody is so professional. She's been taken care of very well. The rooms they have are very good. She's comfortable and it's clean. They have some artwork activities, a therapy room, and some people that would come in to do their hair and stuff."
