I visited Jamaica Shores ALF. The staff was very good and very informative. Even though she didn't know I was coming, she still took me around. The place was clean, but it's just that some of their residents reminded me of a nursing home. They were in wheelchairs or they couldn't move. They didn't appear to be assisted living clients. The room seemed fine and adequate. The upkeep of the place was good, but the dining area seemed a little overcrowded.

Thanks for visiting our home and for your feedback. I’m happy my staff was able to give you the tour. My clients do age in place with the assistance of Hospice when needed. We do have Clientele across the spectrum from Independent to those who, as the years go by do require a bit more assistance than when they first walked in years ago, and as this is and has been home , as long as they continue to meet criteria, they stay home. We are a small , hands on , family home. We do have Two dining areas, one of which also serves as a Activity space when needed.
