My tour experience with Holiday Ormond in the Pines was great. The community was very nice. We went to the dining room when everyone was eating, and everyone looked like they were enjoying their dinner, and looked like they enjoyed each other and the place. So, we got a good feeling about it. The rooms were very nice, bright, cheerful, open, roomy, and well-maintained. The lady was very good. She was very informative and she tried to find out additional information for us. It was pretty nice.

I went to Holiday Ormond in the Pines. They're pretty good, very nice and very professional. It's a higher building. They have three floors or three levels. They have little kitchenettes, a living room, and a bedroom. We only looked at a one-bedroom there because the two-bedroom was too pricey. The food was good. The dining area was big and clean. They have all-day snack areas where they have water all the time available and snacks for the residents in between the three meals a day. They have a small salon, a small gym, and a good-sized pool. They have rocking chairs in the front of the building to sit. They have bingo inside, movie night and they have a library. I think they have a pool table, too.

I Would absolutely would recommend Ormond in The Pines. My mother has now been here for over a year and they have been great. Very helpful when I needed it for my mom. Charlie was so great with mom from the moment we walked in and has continued to help in every situation that arises!, The Nurses, Tammy, on my moms floor, as well as all of the aids, including the ladies at the front, Barbara, Ellen and Raquel, right down to Tom” that drives the bus for the residents! The facility is kept clean, the aids are reliable in medication dispensing, checking in for meals, and even helping my poor mom fix the tv! With a smile. I have always been able to check in and see how she is.

My friend has moved into Holiday Ormond in the Pines. What I like best is the help that we were given by the staff and the officers. They were all so helpful to me, because there were so many things that I did not understand and know about an assisted living facility. They were very patient, and they were very knowledgeable and explained it in layman's terms to me. I can't find anything wrong. I am very happy with the facility for my friend. Once he gets his eyes looked at, he may be able to go to independent, but right now he's in assisted living. I had one little complaint, but I think it's been taken care of. I did not know that I had to do his laundry, his sheets, but they said I don't because it's in his contract that they do them because he's in assisted living. That was the only thing that I was not aware of. The rooms are very nice. He has a one-bedroom apartment, and he has a kitchenette, and there was really a lot of storage space. I was surprised. I was very happy with the whole room for him. He can get his wheelchair in and out of there, too. They're handicap accessible. They have activities, and one of the things that he's gotten hooked on is Wii. I know there are other activities. He just needs to get out a little more with the residents. Two other things that I liked were, number one, they have a day that they'll take you anywhere you want to go. If you want to go to the store or if you want to go shopping or have to go to the dentist or something, they'll take you. They also have bus tours and trips and different things. They went to see the lights at Christmas time. They do a lot. They also care about their people. They check on him several times to make sure he is OK. The food was very good. My friend is very particular about what he eats, and he complains about everything, and that's his personality unfortunately, but I've not had a bad meal. I've only eaten there twice, but it's all been good. There are so many things they can do. They can go to the library, they can read, they can watch TV, they can watch movies, and they have entertainment come in every so often for them. We're spending a little bit more than we thought we would be, but unfortunately, he has some health issues when he went into the facility, and they're still working on those, but it's doable, so I'm OK with the rates. If I had to go someplace, I definitely would go there, because of the kindness and the cleanliness, and everybody's happy. There's so much to do. I was very, very impressed.

We would have gone to Holiday Ormond in the Pines. I liked it a lot. They had very friendly staff. They involved the residents and greeted the new residents who came in. The food was excellent. They even served us lunch so we could try it. The rooms were huge, but we needed my dad on the first floor, and they didn't have anything on the first floor. They had a lot more amenities and they dedicated a whole wall to the veterans in the facility. So that was very nice.

I found Ormond In The Pines for my mom, after seeing a few other facilities. She was immediately comfortable as we entered and found something she liked right away. The Staff is friendly and patient, The Director is excellent! Charlie goes out of his way to make sure mom gets whatever help she needs. I live in CT so it makes things challenging but the Nurses, the aids, the staff, the Maintenance Manager, and right down to the cleaning staff , are amazing and helpful! Thank you all guys! You are all life savers! I would highly recommend this facility! E. Weberg

My number one choice would be Holiday Ormond in the Pines. I like best the amenities and the size of the one-bedroom room. The staff are very friendly and very knowledgeable. They have a courtyard, a lounge, a TV room, a theater, an exercise room, doctors on board, a nurse there during the day, storage units, and menus available a week ahead of time. They also have a beauty salon open all week, and they have a library, too. It's quite extensive.

I am/was a resident of this facility

I moved into Holiday Ormond in the Pines. I like everything about this place. It's like a whole another world. This is like normal people living here. The people that work here are so nice and courteous, and they do whatever they can for you. I've got a living room here that's bigger than my whole apartment at the other facility. I have a bedroom, 2 showers, and a regular full kitchen. I have a refrigerator and a stove, and there's space with a water hookup to put a washer and dryer if you want it. But you just walk down the aisle a couple of doors down, and they have washing machines you can use. The food is excellent. There's a choice of 4 different things you can have with the meals for lunch and dinner. It's good and it's hot when it comes to you. The people that run the place and the waitresses are just friendly. There are so many activities going on. They have regular trips to go to Publix, Walmart, and sometimes they take you to dinner or lunch at restaurants. There are 2 days for doctor's appointments, and then there's what they call "anywhere you want to go" day.

Holiday Ormond in the Pines was a dated facility but it was very well-kept. The apartments were pretty impressive in size. They had full kitchens, which was unusual. They had a swimming pool with a very nice changing room. There was a physical therapy outfit on the premises. I was disappointed that they didn't have balconies. I was also disappointed that the ceiling heights were in the 1970's style, about 7 1/2 feet high, which made the apartments look a little cramped that way. But they had a lot of closet space. They had an extra storage space for residents. The parking for the seniors looked convenient. The staff who gave us the tour was great. She was fantastic. We looked in their dining area from the lobby. It looked like a 1970's style dining area and we didn't sample the food, but we did get a couple of cookies and they were quite good. The menu looked comprehensive, too.

We were a little disappointed in Holiday Ormond in the Pines. We would definitely not consider that a place we would want to live. We didn't really see too much of the staff. The apartments were nice, but not at the level of the other places we visited. The community areas, like the dining room and the entrance places, were a little bit small.

Holiday Ormond in the Pines was very well organized. Upkeep was very good. The rooms were very nice for one person. It was excellent. The dining area looked pretty nice and looked like they had a very good menu. Everything's right at the front of the building when you come in, the parking, the offices, and the receptionists. Charlie, the executive director, was very helpful, too.

The Holiday Ormond in the Pines has nice walking trails with a lot of trees. They have a nice pool, a small kitchenette in the apartment, and a laundry room. The staff was very knowledgeable and friendly. They emailed several times back and forth, and I got good answers back and forth. It's about four to five miles from the ocean.

I visited the Holiday Ormond in the Pines. I didn't think that it was quite as attractive as the first one I went to, but overall it was very nice. We were able to see an empty apartment. The staff that I met there were very friendly. They have many things for them to do, and some of the residents were getting ready to get on a bus to go out for dinner. They take them places, they have a little library where they can read, they play games, they have a salon, they have washers and dryers they can use if they want to do their own laundry. Overall, it was nice and clean. They also have a courtyard, a swimming pool, they have places where they can gather to play cards or games, and they have a nice dining room.

Ormond in the Pines reminded me of a schoolhouse. It's all one level, and it seemed like it was a little bit of an older community. The person who gave me the tour was very nice, though. They had three meals a day and activities if you want to join in. The apartments were very small, but the place seemed very clean.

I took a tour or Ormond in the Pines, and my first impression was that it was welcoming. The grounds were gorgeous, and the pool looks very nice. The place was clean, and the residents seemed content and happy. Jenny was the name of the one who gave me the tour, and she was a very nice gal. The dining room was lovely; it looks very homey and very welcoming. I saw several postings of the activities that were going on, and it all looked nice, and interesting.

We went to see Ormond in the Pines. It's very beautiful, and it's very clean. The people were nice, and it's not too big or too overwhelming. It's just quaint and nice. We looked at the independent and also saw the assisted living area. It did not smell or anything. It's very clean. I couldn't try the food because I got there for the tour a little after lunch, but the dining area was nice and orderly. There were some residents just walking out of an activity when I got there. I didn't actually see it going on, but I did see activity rooms and stuff. The patients appeared to be happy and comfortable in their surroundings.

I was going to move my mother into here in Jan 2021. Completed all of the paperwork, gave them a deposit & gave MY address several times verbally & in writing on the paperwork. My mother died in Dec 2020, I advised them (John and Michelle) & was told my refund would be sent to me. It is now March 2021, & they claim they sent it but don't know where they sent it to apparently! I called and emailed both John and Michelle several times & never got a call or email back. Called corporate several times, never got a call back. Finally got to speak w/Michelle who told me they did NOT have my address! And they would look into what happened and that the refund is being sent to me. Then an hour later, another person called me asking me if I received the refund! Really? They bend over backwards to get your money, but do nothing if they have to refund you!

Provider Response

Hello, thank you for your review. We regret to hear that you have not been completely satisfied with your experience and are confident this does not represent our community as a whole. We understand that this refund was issued and believe that the concerns discussed have been resolved. If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact the community directly. Thank you

I went to Ormond in the Pines just for a tour. I was impressed with it. It looked nice. A few people I met seemed nice. They invited us to come back just for the meals to try the food, but we didn't have time that day. It was right after lunch, so we had already eaten lunch. The facility was nice; it's one I would think about. You can have your own car or they have a bus that goes out once or twice a week. It was probably a year ago that I visited the place. They had a puzzle that they set up for everyone to work on, too. I saw a one-bedroom apartment and I saw their dining area. It was clean, and it looked well organized. The tables weren't too close together.

Everything is nice at Ormond in the Pines, and I love it. I love the setup, the staff, and I went to the independent living side. The outside of the dining area looked like it was 5 stars. I am/was a resident of this facility

We have already moved into Ormond in the Pines. We are thrilled to be here. My husband and I have different health issues. While we're young in some sense of the word, my husband is becoming more dependent. He needs a little more protection and I need a little more support. However, instead of being busy with housework, grocery, and cleaning, I have more time for him and more time to be less frazzled. It is working very well. We love it. It is pleasant to the eye because it has been re-decorated, so it looks fresh and the colors are pleasing. They have wonderful staff members who communicate with the people and they give you choices. The food is delicious and the service is excellent. We have three rooms plus two bathrooms. Going from a three-bedroom, two-bath to this was a shock, but it was OK because we have an extra room. We have not participated in many of the activities, but they have great activities all the time. I love cards and they have different card games. They have a great staff, too. It is not perfect because it is full of human beings that aren't perfect, but on the other hand, I really think it is a wonderful community. It is where we need to be. We are really thrilled and we are happy. It is great.

We liked Ormond in the Pines. It's a very nice place. We went into the independent living and assisted living and they took us in a model room with all the furniture set and an empty room. It was very nice and very affordable for us, but it's a little far from where I live. The dining area looked very nice and wide open. It's restaurant type and people get served. They had sign-up sheets for different activities where they were going to take them places. They had a library, a game room, yoga, exercise room, and nice grounds where you can sit outside. The staff was very responsive. The facility was a little older and some of the appliances were a little bit old, but they're going to be updating and upgrading them.

I visited this facility

I visited Ormond in the Pines, and this would have been our first choice if we had to stay in Florida. The only thing we didn't like was that it didn't have a screened porch or patio. It was very well-kept, clean and very modern. Two things that impressed me, first was what furniture, carpets and tiles they had, and how their staff looked like. The other thing that impressed me was that it wasn't a place that you had to dress for dinner or dress just to go to the lounge to get a book. In other words, it wasn't a place that I would consider high-tone. The person who accommodated us during the tour was great, he was the new manager. When we were there, they were setting up for dinner. And it included white table cloths, the dining room furniture's were comfortable, the chairs weren't pressed wood nor bargain house furniture. It was very nice, and aside from not having a screened porch, everything was great. They also have a wonderful pool.

Ormond in the Pines was very nice. The facility looked good, and they seemed to have a good, organized system. It was a little shabby, but otherwise it looked fine. I went two or three times to really check it out, and we looked at a little studio-type apartment. All three times, which were a couple weeks apart, they kept saying it needed to be painted but it never has been. It's not sparkly clean everywhere. We had lunch with them, and it was great. The dining area was lovely. The chairs had a few frayed bits and stuff on them but overall, it was quite nice. The lighting and the atmosphere were good. They served pretty slowly, but overall it was good. The woman who showed us around was very nice and informative and showed us everything. I met a couple other members of the staff who were very welcoming and very nice. Everybody seemed happy, and the food was quite good.

Have seen this place decline over the years. Changes seem to have been made at the corporate level. Understaffed with frequent turnover in staffing. Communication amongst staff is pathetic. The facility is dirty and residents complain constantly about the decline in quality of the food. Plenty of activities but that does not compensate for the pathetic response time and care given to those in assisted living. Not worth your money.

Ormond in the Pines is nice, but the hallways are very dark, and it's farther away from us. We saw a one-room with a bathroom, two nice cupboards, and a refrigerator. The first time I visited Ormond in the Pines, they were pulling up the carpet and putting more in, so the place was in disarray. They showed me a room, which was falling apart. It was not good. The food and activities were good, though. It wasn't as elegant as others. I guess they must have been in the process of fixing it. The staff members were friendly and accommodating, but the residents were friendlier than the staff. I was there at lunch, and there were one or two employees available in the lunch room.

I loved it at Ormond in the Pines. There’s no room available there right now, but I’m on their list. I’ve checked out a lot of places, and it’s one of the most reasonably priced. The room is a nice studio, not big but decent-sized, and very clean. Their menu looked wonderful. I asked a couple of people there, and they said the food was really good. The people that provided care were very professional and very good. I walked in there, and it was so cheerful. The people were friendly. They would walk up and talk, so I was so impressed with it. The lady who showed us around was very nice. They have a chapel there which I really love. They have a swimming pool, so it’s perfect for me.

Ormond in the Pines is a very nice place. I would rate it very high. The only problem was that we wanted to keep my mother close to where we live. The staff was fine. She was very accommodating. Ormond in the Pines' rooms were cheaper but way too small and didn't have a little kitchenette. They had small refrigerators, and that was it. To me, it was way too mixed up. There was a lot of room, and I would've never been able to remember where was where. It's a little choppy, and it would have been confusing to me. It was clean, and other than the size of the room, I didn't have a problem with it.

At first, I thought the staff at Ormond in the Pines was attentive and knowledgeable, but I’m not so enamored anymore. It seems clean, so that part seems good. I’m not crazy about management, but the rest of the staff seemed really cool. They are friendly and kind. There seems to be an upheaval going on right now with the management staff, and I am not really comfortable because they are not sharing what is going on; it makes me uncomfortable. The food is good, and the dining area is very nice. I was very pleased with that, and this was one of its selling points to me. It’s the restaurant-style dining room, the options, the staff, the chef, and all of that, which is really top-notch.

Ormond in the Pines was also very nice. I do remember the gal who gave us the tour there -- Dianne. My son and I came on behalf of my mother; we went there without an appointment, it was toward the end of the day, and Dianne just was so energetic and bubbly. I couldn’t have asked for a better tour or a better person to have given the tour. She was great. The rooms were fine. They just seemed awfully small. If you put a queen-sized bed in one of the bedrooms, I think it would be kind of hard to get in and out of it.

They had a great many things to do. They had a lot of activities, they called me often to attend these activities, and it was a very nice visit.

I am a friend or relative of resident

We searched for many retirement facilities particularly for those which offered good independent living and if need be the opportunity to be in assisted living without having to move to another location. Ormond in the Pines was all of this and much, much more. What struck us in considering a place to recommend to an elderly aunt was the immediate sense of family by the residents, the staff and visitors. People actually greeted others with a smile and happy comments about living there and the great care by the staff. No one is ignored here. Each person can find friends to make or people will approach them to join them for meals or games. Ormond in the Pines was the best place we ever could have found for our dear relative. She felt at home immediately and liked everyone and the meals as well. They genuinely care!! It may not be the newest building or glitziest place, but for warmth, tender caring and real friends Ormond in the Pines cannot be beat.

Everything that we saw at Ormond in the Pines was OK, but it just doesn’t feel like we’re ready for something at this time. We liked that they have a pool. We saw an apartment, and it was adequate. Our impression of Ormond in the Pines was that it was too confusing, too dark. It was not a happy place. We did not see any residents around. The good thing about the place is that the price was right. The dining area was just ordinary. They have a room for games and TV watching. Everything was very dated, and it didn’t look like it was really kept up very well. It was not the kind of place that I would want to put my mother-in-law in.

Ormond in the Pines was OK. It was not as updated as other facilities. It wasn't dirty by any means, but it just wasn't updated. It looked like an apartment building where they may have to walk way out to their apartments. It's an older facility too.

They have been extremely friendly and helpful at Ormond in the Pines. We are really pleased, and we are looking forward to my mother being there. She is moving into a large one-bedroom apartment. We ate there one time, and the food was good. Everybody seemed happy. One thing they need to improve on is the carpeting. It is an older facility.

We liked Ormond in the Pines. It was very nice. The staff treated the residents very nicely, and they just did have a really good atmosphere. There was a lot of stuff that was within walking distance. It was located very well, and because it is close to 95, I could visit my family so easily. We were looking for something that would be close to 95, so that gave it an extra boost. They had everything. They had a puzzle room, a library, and so many things. My husband and I are not really active socially, but it looked like there were people who we would be able to socialize with. It wasn't all old people. We are old, but we are not "old-old." If they went on field trips or they did something that, we would probably go. We just don't do a lot because we don't like to drive at night.

Ormond in the Pines was my first choice. It had some kind of organization in it that you can go visit other facility belonging to the same organization. I like that. I also thought it was very well run. It has a very nice and very good atmosphere. I had my mother-in-law in there. The staffs were very good, and in fact, they are still calling me. I have seen the rooms before, and now I have seen all of them. I would like to go there. That would be where I want to go; it's just that my husband has dementia, and I'm afraid he has to go to a different kind of place. And truthfully, all the money would go with him, and I wouldn't be able to afford that place. They have all different kinds of units. My mother-in-law had a big bedroom, a living room, a kitchenette, and a large bath. Now for couples, they have two bedrooms if you wanted them. It is quite big, and the apartments were large. I wouldn’t find a problem with that.

We visited Ormond in the Pines for my parents. They had happy people in the front that were in the assisted living part. I'm not a big fan of these places, but if I had to choose one, Ormond in the Pines would be it without a doubt. The rooms were a little bit more older than the other facility, but they were bigger and roomier. I like them. Most of the people that we saw were happy in that establishment. The staff and the people were interacting well, and they had smiles on their face. I thought the attitude of the people was really positive, and that's all that really counts. It was a well run organization. They were concerned about their people and not with money.

The people during the tour were great. They were all very acceptable and seemed very competent. The only thing it did not offer was the ability to keep my parents together. My mother needs physical attention where my stepfather needs less. It was clean and safe, and the food was good. They had lots of activities. The overall ambience was nice; it was a homey place. I would recommend Ormond in the Pines if it's a good match.

We visited Ormond in the Pines, and we had lunch there. I wasn't too happy with the lunch, but other than that, the rooms and everything were nice. The person running the place was very congenial, and I enjoyed her. She showed us around. The only complaint I thought I have would be the food. I thought the rooms were large, and they seemed all right to me. The other thing that we didn't like was when we first walked in, it was like we were walking into a home where I liked to walk where there would be an entrance or some sort. However, I thought the couple that was running the place seemed to be helpful.

We chose Ormond of the Pines for my mom because of the amenities that it offers although she hasn’t moved in yet as we are waiting for an available apartment. They offer three meals a day and several activities all day long. The people that were there were friendly as well as the employees. The place is very clean and very nice. The room is spacious for one person.

I was able to visit Ormond of the Pines because my grandfather is there, and this facility was a positive one which is why we chose this. He has been living there now for a few months and he seems to be very happy. I don’t think the facility's condition is great as well as the location. It's not as clean as I would like it to be, but the people and the staff just surpassed our expectation. They are amazing, and that's really what made a difference for us. We were not looking quite specifically for their activities, but I know they have a lot of great activities. I would absolutely recommend this facility. It's the people there that make it special. It seemed to be a very lively and happy place. Its facility has a serious issue with flooding, and they haven’t really updated the building in so many years. I really do feel that they need to improve the infrastructure of the building. I am worried and concerned about the safety.

I went to Ormond in the Pines. I thought that everybody adored the faculty and the faculty loved the people that live there. There’s a lobby, and the dining hall was right in the right hand side. It’s very, very nice and the chef came out and met us. They invited us to have a meal. The dining hall looked beautiful and they were getting ready for happy hour -- which is OK -- but my personal view is that elderly people shouldn’t be drinking. I could see that they really take pride in their dining hall because it’s newer. They have a presentation of the meal ahead of time out in the hallway to show you what you’ll be eating that day which is nice. The lower floor is the independent-living and the apartment was very nice. It was quite large and the bedroom was a good size. The bathroom was pretty good. The one thing I didn’t care for is the kitchenette. The kitchenette was so outdated. The stoves were like from back in the 1970s. Most of the residents don’t even use them. I don’t like their activity room for physical therapy. It’s very small and nobody was in it. They have creamy white carpeting in the apartment itself; I didn’t care for that. They just painted and the colors downstairs are very, very depressing colors like tans, dull greens, and dull oranges like old-fashioned 70s colors instead of pretty uplifting colors. The visitation was very nice. I met with people, and they seemed very happy there. They were meeting for dinner afterwards and that was very nice. They’re all friends and I like that because the warmth and the friendliness is number one.

Ormond In the Pines was very nice. I like it. The food was very good. The staff was nice. I had no complaints about what I saw. I'm not into playing bingo and stuff like that, but they had a lot of things going on. The rooms were small, but they were nice. What I like best about this place is the way they greeted me. They greeted me very well.

The apartments at Ormond in the Pines looked fine. They were nice. However, they were not as spacious nor as nice as the other facility. The only staff I met was the director who showed me the place and she was very good. They were trying to get me to move in, they were very helpful. They kept wanting me to come there and have lunch. But I told them they were too expensive for me right now. I didn't really like it that much. A lot of people were in really bad shape, a lot of them were in wheelchairs, and it was sort of a little depressing.

I visited this facility

As soon as I walked in at the Ormond in the Pines, I could see that everybody seemed happy and it did not have an odor. It was definitely not like a nursing home. Their exercise room was very small, but there was an area attached to it where people can listen to music when a band comes in. They lend them the space to practice, so that the people can listen to them and they enjoy that, and then for the different holidays, they will come and do it for them at no charge. Their rooms were really a good size. The bedroom and living room were a good size, and the bathroom was decent; it was clean and updated. The bathtub was small. They cut out the bathtub where they could step in, so that they don't have to step over it. It seemed very narrow as far as being able to put a medical chair in there. It was hard to turn around and for my mom who is about 150 lbs. that would be tight. But it was very clean and they have good closet space. Everything was outdated as far as the kitchen. They have a stove, a sink and a full size refrigerator. They don't have pretty colors. It was very dull and dreary, which to me was a big deal. It needs to be updated. But the apartment itself was big, it was clean, and the air conditioning worked well. It did not have any mushy smell or anything like that. The dining room was beautiful and the cook was very nice. I was very, very happy with it. I asked to be brought to their assisted living and as soon as I hit the floor and the elevator opened, I was not happy at all. That was really the deciding factor and I walked out. The carpeting in the hallway was so old and dirty, and the walls were filthy and have not been painted in years. I walked into their dining hall and that hasn't been redone. The upstairs remind me of a nursing home. The workers all seemed wonderful -- the nurses, the CNAs and everyone all seemed really nice. I mean everybody can smile and the patients seemed okay, but the upstairs really bothered me. I did tell them that if my mom had to go to assisted living, I wouldn't be happy with her being upstairs. It was still clean, but it was just that the hallway and the dining hall were more nursing home feeling. It looked like they haven't repainted the walls in years. The downstairs had been repainted; they just painted it with nasty colors. The furniture that they have was back from the 60s and the 70s. It was so outdated and with ugly colors. Overall, the food looked wonderful, the dining room looked wonderful, and people looked happy. It was just that little situation. If they just took $100 from every resident and painted the walls and updated the furniture, I'd give them a five-star rating. The people were super nice, but that is just my opinion. Somebody needs to talk to the owners, because the workers can't do anything about it. They only get paid a certain amount of money and they are doing their job by taking care of the residents. I could see that they get hugged and they are kind to everybody. I loved that and that is what the elderly people need -- it was adorable. At mealtime, they all bring their wheelchairs and walkers and they have what they call "valet service." At dinner time, they have teenagers from the high school who visit -- they are all dressed up in black serving outfits. They'd get their wheelchair, bring them to their dining seats, and then they'd take their wheelchairs, bring it back out in the hallway, and park it there. They park all their walkers so everybody does not crowd into the dining room with all those walkers and everything. It was so cute. I think they need to have better activities. I looked at their calendar and it looked full, but it was basic. There was nothing extracurricular. I think it was great, though. It is like living in a resort. You are being taken care of and you don't have to worry about anything. They seemed very friendly and accommodating, and I was very pleased with them. But, they need to update their facilities and to talk to somebody like a psychiatrist or people who know that colors are a big factor in causing people to be either happy or depressed. I know if my mom were around these people, it would make her happy to get involved and to have friends. I do like that they allow small pets, which is nice if you want to have a cat or a small dog. It was very nice. I was very pleased with it overall.

I was treated very nicely during my visit at Ormond in the Pines. They were very helpful. It’s a little bigger than the other facility I’ve visited and was homey. I saw one of the rooms -- very clean, nicely set up, and comfortable looking. The facility was very nice, very clean. The residents were happy, and there were a lot of activities. I saw a list of activities that were available, like there were fieldtrips and bingo.

I really liked Ormond a lot. It’s an older place but everything is well maintained. The food is very good. They have a terrific tea room where everything is well stocked for the residents. One thing I liked is the manager lives there so they’re on call 24 hours. They had activities and they really get the people involved.

I loved Ormond in the Pines so much. It was very clean, and it's really awesome. The tour that they gave me was really great. The old people sometimes were difficult to deal with, but the employees were so patient. They did it very diligently and nicely to accommodate their needs. They have a good skill in dealing with that. They have a lot of activities, so they keep everybody occupied. They invited me for lunch, and the food was very good. I really was impressed all the way.

I looked at Ormond In The Pines and I would have moved in myself. I had lunch there and it was great. They really catered to their clients. I'd talked to a few women there and they were very happy. The main facility where the people were eating looked like a restaurant. However, the hallway was a little bit worn.

We did make an appointment at Ormond in the Pines and they were very nice. We had lunch and the food was exceptional, but they are a bit expensive. If mom would go in this place, everything would be convenient for her. It's close to Walmart and her doctors are up there also. The studio that they had was small, but the two-bedroom was fine. The people were very nice . They have a lot of activities. I can see that the residents enjoy living there.

I have the pleasure of visiting this facility many times due to having a relative living in the facility. The staff and residents alike are all very wonderful and happy. The facility offers the assisted living area and in a separate area they have the skilled nursing area. The meals are all very delicious and they offer a wide variety of dietary needs depending on the resident. The dinning room is very spacious. Also they offer snacks and beverages throughout the day. Ormand in the Pines offer's 4 different floor plans to choose from, although the residents are very seldom found in their rooms. I found that the majority are either out on tours around town, shopping, walking on the beach, or enjoying the pool or outdoors. This facility is also "small" pet friendly and I notice that there are quite a few pets as residents.

My grandmother lived here for years and just loved it! She is used to nice places so it takes a lot to impress her and let me tell you she was impressed from the moment we took a tour the first time. The staff is great very helpful and caring. They will also help you if you have a question or problem. They also have a bunch of activities for the residents such as bingo and special dinners for holidays. They usually have an activity going on. The residents have a great time together and are happy. The food is really good too everyone seems to be happy with it. The place is really clean and well kept with up to date facilities. It's a great place to visit and very relaxing. The whole place is really great and I would recommend it to anyone. The rates are pretty reasonable too. Overall excellent place!

Friend or relative of resident

My mother-in-law first lived in the assisted living and then the supervised living section of this facility. My husband and I were pleased with the cleanliness of the well-maintained place and with care and respect Mom received from the nursing staff and other employees on premise. The food, recreational amenities and social program were above par. The onsite managers and other administrative personnel were always available to answer any questions and resolve any issues in a timely manner. Our only concern was that the nursing staff was sometimes insufficient to handle all of the residents in the supervised living/dementia building. Mom would often have to wait for someone on staff to escort her to the dining room or guide her back to her own room.
