The lobby seemed laid out nicely, and then there was a space behind, like a courtyard past it. There was nothing negative that I saw. The place seemed to be in the middle of things. It’s not too far from the hospital, maybe about ten minutes away at least. It’s not that far from everything. Overall it was a positive impression. "

"I toured Casalia Gardens. It's a very nice place. The rooms were very nice. The rooms were private. The room was large. There's some furniture, and a bed was already there. I like this because it's a home. I think the capacity was 6 or 7 residents maximum, and they were all female, no men allowed. It was very clean. The staff was very nice. "We chose Elevated Estates Forest Oaks for my mother because it meets all of her needs. She will be moving into their assisted living facility. I toured the place, and it was very nice, and everybody seemed to be happy. We were able to have lunch there, too, and the food was very good. She's also already picked out her room. They had a couple of different rooms, and she's happy with what's available. It's more like a studio, just one room, and it's possible that she could have a roommate. As of right now, no one else is in the room, so it would just be her. They have nurses on staff, and they have different types of doctors who come in at least once a month, if not more. For activities, they have bingo, and people come in and do different types of entertainment. It could be magicians or people singing. They print up a schedule for each month, as to what activity it's going to be for every particular day. They have a couple of libraries, too. If you don't want to participate in the activities, they don't force you."

"We toured this facility. We visited the assisted living facility. They discussed memory care, too, but we went for the assisted care. They were exceptional. The staff was very helpful. She gave me the information that I requested. We had a complete tour, and we were able to meet some of the staff and also some of the residents. We were welcome to have lunch sometime if we wanted to. She was exceptional. She was very good. The facilities were excellent. The room seemed a little bigger than some of the other areas. All of my mom's furniture would fit in nicely."

"My Mom moved in over a year ago, and the Residence has become her home, not just a facility. Staff are friendly and caring. She's safer and fed well, although she tires of the food. Recently the relaxing of many Covid restrictions has enabled residents to have guests visit more comfortably than the past year. She enjoys entertainment and social gatherings. The convenience of having some services like a salon, PT, podiatrist, dermatologist and more available there; s very helpful. The shuttle service is extremely helpful since she can't drive and family lives so far away. Her apartment is spacious and handicapped friendly, with walk in showers unlike another local assisted living that has odd tub/shower that would require a big step up. The residents safety is a priority and I am grateful for their caring, attentive staff."

"Hawthorne Inn of Ocala was an average facility, but the interaction I saw between the residents was excellent. They were interactive. It's good. We were in the dining area because it was around lunchtime, and Dad got to see the interaction of people there and was concerned about the language barrier. Most of them were only English speaking, and he's a Spanish-speaking 99%, He wanted to make sure that the location had some bilingual people or people who spoke his language so he could interact with them properly. We visited the three types of room sizes. They were adequate. The room size, for our standards for one person, was kind of in the middle range. It wasn't that big. The hallways were clean. Everything's OK. We went through a library area where the residents got to pick books and read. They had somewhat of a selection. It wasn't a huge selection. Then we stepped outside. In our opinion, the outside was not an appropriate interaction for outdoor activities because there was none, other than a small porch with a couple of seatings. You just kind of sit there and maybe bask in the sun, and that's about it. My dad is more of the outdoorsy type that he would like interactions with a garden or growing tomatoes, or there are animals in the facilities, or just basically gazing and seeing what's going on in there to kind of keep his mind occupied. I personally liked the wood floors. That made it a nice, very homey, and warm feeling. The staff was friendly. All the spaces that I visited were clean. I got a peek at their activity room or craft room where they were doing some painting or something like that, and it was small because this looks like a smaller facility than the other one we visited. I saw their menu and they had a variation of items."

"My aunt currently lives at Tender Loving Hospitality. The facilities are clean and well kept. The staff are caring, and very good at their jobs. They treat the residents like family. There are plenty of things available there for the residents to do, like games, tv, and even shopping trips and things of that nature. It's never easy putting a family member into an assisted living facility, but when the facility staff treat your family like their own families it makes it easier. "

"My mother and father both moved into Sunshine Gardens a year or so ago. The care there is amazing!! My parents love the atmosphere and are very comfortable. The rooms are rather small, but most residents spend time together in the large, main area. There is a lot of music and activity going on when I visit. I am so happy to know that my parents are safe. "The staff of Cedar Creek is absolutely outstanding. They treat us really well. The food is very good; there are pretty varied meals, and they are usually very good. You can have about anything you want at breakfast, and lunch is the extra largest meal of the day. They serve beer and wine here too. The place is spotless. They have activities everyday, and they have two activities directors. They have bingo, they play cards, they do arts and crafts, and they have trivial pursuits two or three days a week, which is good. In fact, this weekend we are having a champagne Sunday brunch. And the facility is bordering a creek, so you can walk out certain times of the year. We can walk out on the wooden deck and watch the manatees swimming up the creek right next to us. We have two resident ducks that live on the creek and some egrets. Inside the facility, we have a dog and two cats that roam around, and you can bring your own pets here too. We are surrounded by a lot of good restaurants, and right across the street is the bay. They have some picnic tables over there on the bay where you can relax and watch the birds come and go. It is just a great area up here. My wife is the one that really needs the place because she is an Alzheimer's patient. They get her dressed in the morning then walk her down and get her meds. And the nurse's office is right outside the dining hall, so she gets her medication and then has breakfast.They have people that roam the hallways at night just to make sure that the residents -- especially the Alzheimer's patients -- don't wander out of their rooms. They do the laundry once a week, or you can do it yourself. They also drive me to my dialysis and bring me back three days a week. They have a big bus, a little bus, and a van. They really take care of my wife. So far, I have been very pleased with the way they are taking care of her. "

"I'm at Life Care Center of Citrus County. It's nice and clean, but the food is not good. They need to improve the taste. For the most part, the CNAs are excellent, but they don't have enough of them. The girls are overworked and they're tired. It took them forever to get here because there weren't that many of them. Maintenance is very good. It's beautiful around here. There are activities, but they're for 90-year-old people. People here can't remember anything. I'm still the same guy I always was."
