My mother has been in Dorcas House for about a month and a half now. There are only eight people at the place. She seems to enjoy it. It's more family oriented, which is something that I wanted for her. They have shared rooms. I know PT and OT can come in, and you can go visit them, but it has to be outside or in the back lanai, by appointment. They decorate for holidays. On Mondays they have fast-food days like Wendy's, Burger King, or whatever, and on Fridays they have pizza day. It's clean, maintained fairly well, very comfortable for everybody, and very nice. They're on top of things, and they don't seem to be bothered if you call and ask how somebody is doing. They have a doctor who comes in and checks everybody, and he got them their COVID shots right away. It seems to be a really good place. My mother seems to like the food, too. The value for the money is average.
