Sunrise of Boynton Beach

My mothers quality of life is better now than it has been in several years. When I call she tells me about the friends she's made while enjoying the activities and how she loves eating with her circle of friends in the dining room. Before Sunrise, she was rarely around her peers outside of a doctors office waiting room. The folks leading this operation communicate with me regularly and have done an outstanding job of making my mother feel at home.

So far, Sunrise of Boynton Beach has been a wonderful place for my mother. It's a perfect place, they're very good and it's a safe place. Everybody there has been wonderful. They have a daily list of activities. Their facilities are great, it's clean, it's new, and there's nothing I can say that's bad. They have a salon there.

Sunrise of Boynton Beach is relatively new, so it's very immaculate. The grounds were beautiful and the staff was nice. They gave me a tour of the whole place, including both assisted living and memory care. The memory care was small now, but they have the ability to expand much larger and I don't think that's good for a memory center. Everyone I met was very, very informative, very thorough, and nice. They had facilities for your nails and hair, they had music, exercise classes, and they had ways of detecting if somebody gets up in the middle of the night. They seemed to be highly organized as to how to deal with that. It was also clean and they had all the things that you would look for.

I toured Sunrise of Boynton Beach for my husband, and I got the impression that he would get more attention. I know the flowers are pretty, the furniture is pretty, and all of that, but I'm mainly interested in him getting the best care possible. He needs a lot of care, so I'm at the point where I don't even know if assisted living is the proper placement for him. He would need a high level of care. The one who assisted me was named Matthew, and he was very thorough. He answered all my questions, and I probably have more questions that I didn't think of, but I'm sure he would have answered them too. He was very forthright, and he did a good job of showing us the facilities and what they could do. The place is pristine, and the grounds are beautifully kept.

Sunrise of Boynton Beach was a beautiful place, but we were only able to see a model room. We couldn't see the actual room or the area where my cousin would have been, but the place was very nice and brand new. The person who took us for a tour was very knowledgeable, very friendly, and very nice. I didn't meet any other staff who worked with the residents. The only thing we saw was the dining area and the model apartment on the first floor. I was there for maybe forty-five minutes to an hour taking the tour. I used the bathroom, and that was clean. Everything was clean and excellent. We looked at the memory care.
