My mother moved to the assisted living home of Rockwell Seniors I in Boca Raton. It was referred to by somebody as the type of care that she needed. It only has 6 beds with 3 nurses, and there is a lot more care that she needs at this stage, so they're wonderful. She gets more one-on-one care. The house that she is in is a beautiful house, and it's immaculate. The nurses are on top of everything. The director is wonderful, and they're really taking good care of my mom. She's clean, and she's comfortable. Honestly, it's the best decision I could have made, because a larger facility was not for her anymore. It's a really nice place. My mother can't walk, so they do activities with her in a wheelchair. She cannot do a lot because she's in the fourth stage of dementia, so she doesn't really know what you're even saying to her. I know they do some activities there, though. Their wound care is excellent. She left the other assisted living with an unstageable wound on her foot, and they're healing it. Nobody thought it would heal, and it's getting better and not infected, so they're really doing their job with that. For somebody in my mom's situation, it's a perfect fit. They do everything they're supposed to. They don't leave her lying in bed and get her up every day. They dress and wash her. They feed her if she needs to be fed. They take the residents outside. They have an in-ground pool where they take my mom out by the pool so she gets air and gets to look around.
