I was so happy to find S&S for my mom. I immediately transferred her from the large, corporate run, facility where she had been for 1.5 years and had been neglected and treated like a non-person. S&S has a positive, home environment and very caring people running it. It truly felt like a family home. The house is very clean and has a welcoming and calm feel to it. They may not have all the "bells and whistles" (like activities directors etc etc) that the larger places "sell" to the elders' family members. What they have is good care and a truly caring environment. They are very responsive and put high priority on communication with family. Once I moved her, I no longer felt scared that my mom's needs were ignored. I knew she was being cared for. S&S was truly a Godsend.
