My mom moved to MesaView Senior Assisted Living. She's in a one-bedroom apartment. They have assisted living where you go into a building and there are several rooms like being in a house. Then they have independent living, in which they have eight apartments, but they're connected, but you have your own door from the outside where you can go in and out. The apartments are clean and she moved into hers. They had new floors. It had new paint. There's a mini refrigerator and a stove if they want to cook their own food. I've been with my mom when she's gotten her food delivered, so I've not tried it myself, but she's very happy with it. She said the portions are very generous and it looked like they were, and she said the food's very good. They give you two meals a day. You can have breakfast and dinner or lunch and dinner, or breakfast and lunch. You get to choose your two meals a day and then they deliver them to her door from the kitchen. They have recreational activities open to everyone.

My Dad lives in MesaView on the Independent Living side and is very happy. They give him enough independence to still do things he is able, while helping on some other things which he needs. I feel better about him being there in his nice apartment than at home alone with no access to help while I am at work. The staff are very sweet, and the Manager is very hands on; she goes above and beyond. My dad would not participate in activities anyway, but they are limited right now I believe due to covid. My dad likes the food, and the place a lot.

My mother-in-law was at MesaView, but it wasn't working out very well. It was overpopulated. My mother-in-law was a little scared there. The food was OK, but not great. A couple of times a week I was there, and she was left alone. They didn't give her the attention that she needed. She has special needs, but they weren't equipped to handle that.

My mother was at MesaView for about a year. She was independent living, but they came and checked on her. However, there were no activities, and she didn't like the food. It was convenient because it was close to my sister who at the time had taken on the care and responsibility, but it wasn't ideal. The restroom was not accessible. My mother had a stroke, but they didn't make any modifications. The restroom door was too narrow for her wheelchair. My mother needed more help than what they're giving her. The staff members were fine but they seemed less personable.
