It's only been less than a week since my dad moved into American River. But he's sleeping very well. I think it's going to take a little bit of time for him to get used to it there. But I really like it. The bathroom is absolutely wonderful. We're hoping now that he's in a board and care place he will be able to get more attention when he needs it. We absolutely love the staff. The owner is very understanding, very nice, helpful, and very organized. If dad needs a ride to the doctor, she's very organized and has lots of good resources. Dad's room is very nice. He gets to see not only the cars going by, but the squirrels, birds, nature, and the wind blowing the trees. It's very comforting, very calming, and interesting. It's something to look at. We were invited to dinner the first night my dad moved in. It was very nice. He has a beautiful backyard with wooden ramp, so he has a large area he can go to in the backyard. We ate outside. It was lovely, and the food was really tasty.
