"My friend will go to Crescent Senior Living. She has Parkinson's, and there is a distinct possibility of her losing memory as she gets older, and that has the memory care unit attached to it, so she wouldn't have to move as far. We did the assisted living because that's where she would be going. I liked the wide halls. The staff was great. It was beautiful. It was a full meal that I had, and what I appreciated was that I had some fairly restrictive dietary needs, and they were very good about it. The chef came out to talk to us, and they did a very nice job there."

"The other day, we visited this community. It was very positive. They would made you feel welcome and would show you around. The people working there were very helpful, positive, and upbeat. We saw a couple rooms. One was being lived in and an empty one. It had nice arrangements and a nice size. "

"My husband moved to Valencia at Draper. They're taking care of him and giving him the medication when he needs it and all that kind of stuff. It's just worked out. They serve three meals a day. The staff was friendly and helpful. They have a little courtyard in the memory care unit. It's small, but it's sufficient."

"Spring Gardens Draper had a very homey and comfortable atmosphere. The staff who toured me around was very welcoming, very informative, and just very easy to talk to. We liked that there weren't set hours when they had to go to the cafeteria to eat. The apartment had a little kitchenette with a good-sized refrigerator, but you had to bring your own microwave and furniture. They had a big courtyard in the middle. They had barbecues and other activities there. There were nice places to sit with tables with umbrellas and garden space."

"Our experience with Legacy Village of Sugar House has been very good. The rooms have lots of variety from studio to two-bedroom and many choices to select from. They've got excellent amenities and excellent activities, lots of choices, lots of input. They have a resident counsel that gives input. It's a good value. My father is in assisted living, but it has independent living and memory care as well. The staff is very good, very friendly and outgoing. They've got a great wellness center, great reading room, and very good community spaces. My brother said the food was pretty good."

"We chose Capital Hill Senior Living for my mom because it's close to me and it was a nice facility. She moved into their memory care last week and they're doing a great job, so far. The workers there are very helpful and treat my mother very well. The food is very good. Every time I come to visit, she's been down in the community area with other residents and watching TV, which is something we couldn't get her to do before so it's really good. It's a very nice facility and it's kept very clean. It's close to hospitals and there are restaurants close by."

"We liked Rocky Mountain Care Sarah Daft Home. If my mother-in-law had been more independent and was able to navigate herself more, we might have picked that place because we liked the homey atmosphere. They had a creative activities director, and the people were involved in games. They had some beautiful quilting work that some of the clients had made. They have a common gathering room, but it's not for people that are more dependent or need more guidance. I think it's more for independent people. There was a lady in a walker, but she was mentally fine. They have different rooms. They have some where they have to go across the hall to a shared bathroom with showers, and then they have like apartments where they have their own private bathroom. They were larger, and we liked those. The second one was like a studio, but it was pretty large, and the third room that we saw had a living room, a bedroom and a bathroom. It's an older place, so there is that to consider. But if my husband and I had to choose between that and the other place, we probably would have chosen the Sarah Daft Home because we just like the cozy community atmosphere there. After all, it is smaller. The staff was nice. A lot of them have been there for a long time. "

"BeeHive Homes a very good place, my mom is happy here. They are right on top of everything. The staff is accommodating and attentive. She's got a single room with a single bed, a dresser, a bathroom, and a shower. I had her in other places, and she really liked this place. "

"The rooms are very nice and they have different floor plans depending on the size you need and the budget. As for the food, I think it’s better than most restaurants and they have choices. My mom lives there and I couldn’t be happier with the care she receives. The staff is very attentive and kind. Crystal is very informative when you tour and she makes you feel like part of the family"

"Cottage Glen was absolutely marvelous and I love it. Ultimately, in all of the places that we looked at, Cottage Glen would be the one that we would like for my sister. It is about a mile away from my home. The apartments were very nice size. They all had a kitchenette in them. The memory care unit was separate from the other four units. They had activities in each of the unit but they also could go to the main unit for activities. They have a patio with a barbecue and they plan different activities. They also have craft shows. It’s really a great facility. It was lovely, but it is not within our price range. "

"We moved my mother to BeeHive Homes. She's done really well, they're really attentive, and they keep in contact with us. She's always really happy when we go there, and she seems pretty happy with everything there. They do all kinds of things. They were doing fireworks the day that we moved her in. They have little crafts and different things. When there's no Covid, I guess they take them out and do tours to different places. They've been taking really good care of her. They're really good, and they seem really knowledgeable. It's not a big place, so she gets a lot of individual care, which is nice. It's really clean, it's set up pretty nice, and the rooms are nice."

"The staff seemed a little dysfunctional. There seemed to be a lot of contrived drama, and (surprisingly) separation of races. The management also seems to be completely unaware of these issues. The physical facility itself is very nice. As a musician, I must comment on the grossly out of tune piano; it was 3 steps off where it should have been! The members of the facility themselves seem to be happy enough there, though if I were in charge of coordinating activities in such a place, I would do a lot more. I would get the community more involved at times like Halloween, Christmas and Thanksgiving. Letting these wise seniors talk to the younger generation and telling them stories. In my opinion, there isn't enough story telling between generations. Each of the three assisted living facilities I visit has the resources for these things. I think it would certainly improve the quality of life of the members of these communities. "
