I really liked Cottage Glen. They're bigger than the other place, but they had a very homey feel. They had some good options as far as rooms went. They had more than one type of studio. The rooms were really nice. The staff was great. They were so helpful and kind and had a lot of information to give me. They were very forthcoming as far as what the costs were. They were very competent and understood what I needed to know and were able to answer all of my questions. They have a memory care unit, but I went for assisted living. They also do the client's laundry, so that was another plus, and that's included in the care. When I got there, it smelled delicious. They had like five cabins basically. Each of those buildings had upwards of like 10 rooms.

I like the proximity of Cottage Glen to where we live so that we can visit my mother regularly. So far, we're very satisfied with them. From what I've seen, the staff members are very nice and very responsive. The building is very nice. My mother has a small one-room apartment. It's a larger footprint so that all fits her needs. They have activities, but I have not been able to see them or watch them. They have puzzle groups and music groups. It's a calm, friendly, and cozy environment. In general, it's very nice.

My mother went to Cottage Glen. The staff knew all of the people living there by name and their specific needs. They take them on day trips outside of the facility, they've got board games and different activities. The facility is nice and feels homey. I saw a salon and a couple of other things there. It's very clean and close to the hospital, friends, and family.

Cottage Glen was absolutely marvelous and I love it. Ultimately, in all of the places that we looked at, Cottage Glen would be the one that we would like for my sister. It is about a mile away from my home. The apartments were very nice size. They all had a kitchenette in them. The memory care unit was separate from the other four units. They had activities in each of the unit but they also could go to the main unit for activities. They have a patio with a barbecue and they plan different activities. They also have craft shows. It’s really a great facility. It was lovely, but it is not within our price range.
