Titusville is a small city of about 5,600 people, nearly 20% of whom are aged 65 and over. The city is home to the Titusville Senior Center, which is operated by the Titusville Area Senior Citizens Corporation. Through this center, members can participate in bus trips, wellness programs and congregate meals.
In Titusville, as in the rest of Pennsylvania, assisted living facilities provide housing, meals and care services for seniors who are unable to safely live alone. Facilities may be classified as personal care homes, which are governed by the Department of Public Welfare, or as assisted living residences, which are governed by the Department of Aging. Titusville is home to two facilities, and there is one more in nearby Oil City.
