"Liberty Ridge is homier, not quite as fancy, and much less expensive. The surroundings are in a horse park -- you see horses, pastures; it's Lexington, horse country -- and it's beautiful. They have 2-bedrooms, and they have a chef. We had lunch, and they had lots of options. "

Our single story community is set apart since it is small in size with only 15 private studio rooms, and are locally owned and operated. The allows us to offer a high level of personalized care at an affordable all-inclusive rate. What is included in "all-inclusive"? Assistance with bathing, dressing and grooming, three home-cooked meals per day, snacks provided, scheduled assistance with self-administration of medication, daily housekeeping and laundry, complimentary linens and towels, all utilities plus Wi-Fi and cable, daily stimulating activities and social events, emergency call pendants and intercoms. Limited transportation is available. We furnish the rooms at no added costs. Residents can bring their own furniture, if desired. We welcome all third party therapy providers such as physical and occupational therapy, nurse practitioners, podiatrists, etc. to visit, as paid for by resident insurance. Our small size, the longest hallway is only 25 feet. Small population of only 15 residents equals a lot of personalized care and attention. "The staff members at Sterling Meadows are each so kind and competent. I couldn’t ask for a better assisted living for my mother. She enjoys daily Tai Chi, chair exercises, devotions and art 3 times a week Mon-Fri. My mom also loves her gardening time twice a week. She said, “Come and join us!”"

"Mom (age87) was in the Rehab unit after breaking her femur. The facility is always neat and clean. The staff is very personable, helpful, & patient. Mom's rehab therapy was exactly what she needed, building up her arm strength and increasing her ability to use a walker and gradually increase weight bearing on her leg as it heals. We have no complaints and are grateful to the whole staff!"

"The Willows at Citation was a beautiful building. It's in a quiet neighborhood and it does not look like a nursing home inside or outside. I told my friend it was more like a hotel. We have not seen the room where she's going to be, but we have seen similar rooms and one of the girls even sent us pictures, too, to show her. Jaden was very accommodating and answered all of our questions. Last week, she even came to my friend's house and talked with her. If we pass staff in the halls, most of them stop and talk to us. Even the CEO was out and about and he stopped and talked with us. The dining area looks like a restaurant. It's very nice, very clean, and has lots of room. So, that was a plus. I haven't seen all of the facilities, but they have physical therapy, occupational therapy, a beauty shop, and a full-time nurse. It's just top-notch."

"It was nicely decorated with a good layout. The staff was perfect: very friendly, professional, and very knowledgeable. There was a bigger refrigerator, which was a plus, and counter space, so that was good."

"My tour experience at Friendship Towers was excellent but it's not exactly what we were looking for at the time. The facility was clean, not one of the best places I've been to, but it's nice. The staff that I met there were great. They had a lot of activities going on, they had a salon and also a library."

"My parents passed away but they had stayed in Sayre Christian Village. You have to be at least 63 years old when you want to move into this community. It was for low-income and especially for HUD housing, but it was really nice. My parents loved it there and were very, very happy. What was so good about them was that they have independent living, assisted living and a nursing home within the community. The complex is huge. They had super staff who were very accommodating and very helpful. They also had nurses coming a couple of times a month and they would help do things with seniors such as clipping their nails, etc. For activities they had all kinds of special programs. They had birthday celebrations every month. Local celebrities come in sometimes and give concerts. It was a very good facility and I would highly recommend them. "

"Morning Pointe is a new facility. They told me they had full staffing as far as a doctor and a nurse, but they had not completely filled their staff yet. They were versatile. They had rooms where you have a couple; they had small and large rooms. If somebody feels like their family member needs medical attention 24/7, Morning Pointe will be the place. "

"Legacy Reserve at Fritz was nice. It's a beautiful place. It's the newest and the most expensive. The rooms were brand new and very nice. They had full kitchens. It feels more like an apartment living, not like a senior living place. The staff were very friendly and seemed nice. The living atmosphere was great. It was almost like a small town. There was a cafe or you could eat in the dining room, they had a beauty shop, an indoor pool, and they had a sports bar. They had plenty to do there for seniors. If you're not going to compromise your independence, it offers everything that you have in one building. I would have loved it for my mother, but it is more expensive."

"Mccready Manor is within my price range, and it has apartments with full kitchens. It has a nursing home right there if my relative ever needs to go to that. It has apartments for independent living. I really like the place. It provides transportation which is important, and it is less expensive compared to the other places I've seen. "

"Lexington Country Place was a beautiful setting. There are lots of trees. It's off of a main street so there's a lot of traffic on it, but when you go back to this, it's in a pretty setting. It's pretty spread out, but it's all on one floor. It didn't have many private rooms. It was mostly semi-private, but the lady who took us around said that my friend would have to go into a semi-private and be in it for a while before they could put her on the list for a private room. It was a brighter place. There's more sunlight in it. There were lots of their patients out in the hallways and wheelchairs that I didn't see in the other two places. It was more of a nursing home than you would expect to see when you went in. The lady that gave the tour was very nice. She showed us around and was very accommodating and answered all of our questions. The dining room was being used when we were there. They were having a trivia-type thing, but it was a nice-sized dining room and it was brighter. Around the hallway that you walked to from each section, there was a lot of glass and it looked out onto a beautiful garden. When we were there, the hydrangeas were breathtaking. They were so pretty and the people could go out and sit in the garden if they wanted to. It was very nice."
