"We moved our mother from a luxury senior living community in Lexington, KY to Parkview Manor in Danville, where we now live, after she needed more skilled care than an independent community could offer. At first, we were worried about the move, but unlike her previous facility which was close to lots of traffic, this is in a quiet wooded neighborhood setting, with a very nice park adjacent to the facility, making it more comfortable and homey. In addition, the staff is so kind to her, and we can drop in, anytime, to take her out or spend time with her without calling ahead. We have peace of mind and are happy with the decision we made to move her to Parkview Manor. If you’re looking for a place with a family atmosphere, a welcoming environment, friendly southern hospitality, and a great value, you should look into Parkview Manor for your loved one. "

"The only one I looked at was McDowell Place of Danville. It was excellent. I thought it was a wonderful place. It was very pretty. It was well kept up and clean. We met not many people, but everybody we met was very nice. They took their time with my friend, and I thought they explained everything very well. I think it's a convenient location in the city of Danville, and I like the fact that they would take people to their doctors' appointments and take them out shopping and do things with them. The dining room was just beautiful. I think it'd be wonderful to go to that dining room three times a day and eat. Everything was nice, but the kitchen cabinetry could use a little updating. Another thing that was nice about it is that you would be independent living in your apartment on your floor, and then say all of the sudden the doctor said that my friend got to have help with her meds or her shower, your price would change to assisted living prices, but you wouldn't have to move. The staff member who toured me was excellent."

"My mother has been at Morning Pointe in Danville since May of 2023. This has been a journey for her to say the least. Leaving her home of 60 years was very hard for the entire family but especially her! The staff at Morning Pointe is always willing to step in for whatever need she has. My mother tells everyone that if she can’t be home this is a great place to be. I think the entire family feels the same way ♥️ Each and every staff member… from the front door to the back door and every where in the middle is friendly and always happy to help out in anyway they can. I’m thankful my mother is there"

"Charleston Assisted living community in Danville, Kentucky is a very welcoming place. The grounds are always kept clean and the landscaping is always nicely manicured. The staff at the living quarters are very nice and helpful for everyone involved, not just the resident. The relatives are treated with the same kindness and respect. I have a relative that lives at the Charleston facility and they are happier now than they have been in the last few years since their failing health. Living there has rejuvenated my relative and opened a new way of life to them. I also have a new peace of mind knowing that my family will be taken care of and fed properly. I also feel safe knowing that they will get their medication properly and that is a great relief because it was becoming a problem. All in all, I am greatly please with the professionalism and sincerity of the staff at Charleston and would recommend them to anyone. "

"Thomson-Hood Veterans Center is incredible. The staff to patient ratio is high. It's a state facility and so the state pay so much per person that's there. It's just fabulous. They have all kinds of activities for the residents and they even have a barbershop. I would highly recommend it to anybody. "

"My mom has lived at Council Oaks of Nicholasville since 2010. It is a beautiful place with staff far better than most facilities. The staff loves the residents and I had NEVER seen any unkind or inappropriate act there. The availability of special care for senior citizens with Alzheimer's and Dementia in this establishment is noteworthy due to the number of skilled professional nurses in staff who are present on duty for 24-hours.There are a lot of activities for the residents on daily bass including exercise programs, a salon and physical therapy too. The community comes in several times a week and provides musical entertainment of some type for the residents. The food is of a reasonable quality. They have a rotating menu and an a la carte section that stays constant. It was nothing incredible, but it gave enough variety to work. Also, the facility allows pets, only that the pets need to be less than 20 pounds. Location of the facility is another good thing for the residents. Everything, from grocery stores, and library to special care hospital that one would need is within 5-10 minutes walking distance. This is the best assisted living facility! "

"My mother is a current resident of Hometown Manor Assisted Living, Lawrenceburg. The facility is clean, everybody has their own rooms, and they do showering twice a week. I believe there are 12 residents in the facility. They cook three meals a day. It's just a very nice facility for anybody that needs assisted living and the employees are very kind. The rooms are nice, everybody has their own half bath, you have a closet, they're nice size rooms. They have two different sized rooms, they have mostly your regular sized rooms, and then they have a couple of the larger sized rooms. It's just a basic house. The activities they do, they play bingo, on holidays they paint and do things that fit with the holidays. They don't do a whole lot, but they try to keep the residents happy and have little things to do for them. The staff is good and my mom is enjoying the meals. I think they can have more activities, but I would recommend it to people."

"My mother is at Daisy Hill. My stepfather is still in a rehab facility, but he is registered there, and everything is ready for him. They have an apartment. The employees are very friendly. The residents are very friendly, too. On the second day that we were there, I took my mom to the dining room, and several women and men came up and introduced themselves to her. That, to me, was a big plus. The place is very clean and very fresh. My mom's mobility is limited, but she has easy access to the dining area. She is a picky eater, but she is very complimentary of the food. I have eaten with her a couple of times, and the food is very good. The value for money has been excellent."

"We recently moved my mom to Sayre Christian Friendship Towers. The experience was wonderful from beginning to end. We were given a tour and Lesley was very helpful answering all our questions. On move in day, everyone was so kind and helpful. There are lots of activities to choose from. Mom likes the music and worship. She also enjoys the Bingo. The food options are endless and all very well prepared. The service in the Bistro and the dining room are outstanding. I would highly recommend it. By the end of the day there is no worry about sleep as she is worn out from all the activity during the day. We are so pleased with every detail."

"My tour experience at Friendship Towers was excellent but it's not exactly what we were looking for at the time. The facility was clean, not one of the best places I've been to, but it's nice. The staff that I met there were great. They had a lot of activities going on, they had a salon and also a library."

"I liked everything about Cedarhurst of Beaumont. Ashley gave the tour there, very, very informative. She wasn't just trying to get a room occupied. She was also very informative about memory care, and told me that even if I don't choose their community, if I have any other questions, feel free to call her as well. And she has checked up on me just to see if I found anything or if I had any questions since I've had the tour. Very, very nice person. And the community itself is very, very nice, and well kept up as well. The rooms were very nice, she told me that any time that a resident moves out, they redo the room, like the flooring, everything, which I didn't know about. But she said that's what they do. So everything is new when you move into their community. The dining area is huge, it's very, very big. They also have activities, like the crafts, and they have an outdoor area. They have a TV room where the residents can go and watch TV."

"I highly recommend Tanbark Rehabilitation and will go again, if needed, without reservation. I was at Tanbark Rehab following a shoulder replacement. The staff is wonderful! They helped with everything I needed. I was unable to shower by myself and the assistants that helped me made me comfortable. The nurses were professional and caring. The rehabilitation staff were amazing. The PT and OT staff were knowledgeable and engaging. I looked forward to that part of my day. Everyone I meet from the doctors to housekeeping, front office, administrative staff and dietary staff made me feel comfortable and cared for. My only complaint is their medication system. Their pharmacy is in Louisville. Enough said."
