My mother has been at Morning Pointe in Danville since May of 2023. This has been a journey for her to say the least. Leaving her home of 60 years was very hard for the entire family but especially her! The staff at Morning Pointe is always willing to step in for whatever need she has. My mother tells everyone that if she can’t be home this is a great place to be. I think the entire family feels the same way ♥️ Each and every staff member… from the front door to the back door and every where in the middle is friendly and always happy to help out in anyway they can. I’m thankful my mother is there
About The Lantern at Morning Pointe of Danville in Danville, Kentucky
When memory begins to change, families often find themselves navigating unfamiliar territory. What matters most in those moments is finding a place that feels safe, supportive, and truly understands your loved one. The Lantern at Morning Pointe Danville is a dedicated Alzheimer's and dementia memory care community located near Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center and Centre College — serving families throughout Danville, Boyle County, Stanford, Lancaster, and surrounding Central Kentucky communities. Every detail of our single-story, home-like community is purposefully designed for residents living with memory loss — from the layout and lighting to the secure, familiar daily rhythms that help people feel safe, calm, and known. What makes The Lantern at Morning Pointe Danville unique is that we offer two thoughtfully designed levels of memory care under one roof: Lamplight for early-stage memory loss and Lantern for more advanced needs. As your loved one's needs change, the care adapts — without the disruption of another move or another transition to an unfamiliar place. Licensed nurses are on campus around the clock, with 24-hour access to personalized care services, medication management, and pharmacist-led medication reviews. Our team is trained in the Best Friends™ approach — a relationship-centered philosophy that treats every resident as a valued friend, honoring their life story and individuality — and the Teepa Snow Positive Approach to Care™, skill-based dementia training that helps associates understand how the brain changes with dementia so they can respond with confidence, calm, and compassion. Our Meaningful Day™ program is built around each resident's past experiences, interests, and abilities — because the things that made your loved one who they are still matter here. Residents enjoy restaurant-style dining with specially prepared meals by our culinary team. Caregiver support groups and pharmacist-led medication reviews walk beside families throughout the journey. Morning Pointe of Danville — our assisted living community — is right next door on the same campus. Founded in 1997 and locally led for nearly 30 years, Morning Pointe Senior Living manages and operates more than 40 assisted living and memory care communities across the Southeast — including right here in Danville.

My sister is in here. It's a beautiful building with beautiful rooms, but their food service is lacking and they don't have an operator after a certain hour in the evening, which makes it complicated to reach staff. If you had an emergency, it makes it difficult to be able to notify them or check on somebody that there might be an issue or problem. I was not pleased with the operator they have on dayshift. Some of the staff were unfriendly and not helpful. The caliber of the food was not consistent and it wasn't cooked well. I understand from my sister that they have a large turnover in staff there. During COVID, it's been bad because they don't take them anywhere really nice. They told my sister that they would take her to her medical appointments, which sometimes they do, sometimes they don't. She has a large bathroom, but the showers leak badly and the shower curtain doesn't keep the water in. It should be built up higher. The design of the shower is very poor. She has a bedroom with a TV and a TV in the living room as well. She has a little kitchenette.

Great visit and enjoyed a nice lunch. The staff was very friendly and attentive. I toured the building and liked the design of the building. The apartments are very nice and plenty of room.

Stay Away - Care more about money We had to move our mother back to NC on an urgent basis. The car was full and we ask if we could leave a small tv and a wall hanging in a box until we returned (5 days). Multiple people said "no Problem". Morning Pointe charged the full $210/day ($1,050) until we picked up the items and now they say. "That's our policy". These items would have fit in any broom closet or they could have called.

Morning Pointe of Danville was one floor, which made it easier and more accessible for my dad. My visit was very nice. They were wonderful to work with. It's a newer facility, so it's a little bit brighter and more appealing. The place was beautiful, but the price point was a little higher. We looked at an enclave, which had a room and a sitting area, and was a little bigger than a studio.
