"I highly recommend Tanbark Rehabilitation and will go again, if needed, without reservation. I was at Tanbark Rehab following a shoulder replacement. The staff is wonderful! They helped with everything I needed. I was unable to shower by myself and the assistants that helped me made me comfortable. The nurses were professional and caring. The rehabilitation staff were amazing. The PT and OT staff were knowledgeable and engaging. I looked forward to that part of my day. Everyone I meet from the doctors to housekeeping, front office, administrative staff and dietary staff made me feel comfortable and cared for. My only complaint is their medication system. Their pharmacy is in Louisville. Enough said."

"My husband is happy at Bluegrass. He likes it there. They're very friendly and take special care of each person. The food is very good, and the dining area is quite pleasant. The staff has been helpful and friendly. My husband was in rehab for a while and now he's on the extended care. They have a physical therapy room and a program called Moving Get Grooving where they play music and have a couple of the staff get the ones in the wheelchairs and put them in a circle to move their arms and legs to the music. They all have a good time. There are two patients in a room, and my husband is next to the window, which he likes, and there's a bathroom with all the things for handicapped people, plus a closet, bedside table, and dresser for each of them."

"Fountain Circle Health and Rehabilitation stood by my family's side when my mother needed to be placed in a long term care facility. They comforted and reassured us, and took great care of my mother. We were always well informed and given answers to our questions, even though it was a difficult time for my family. Even though it was a challenging time, the staff were always supportive for my family as well as my mother. Fountain Circle has many different levels of care, so if your family is considering using this facility for the care of a loved one, they are more than well equipped to deal with many situations and levels of need. My mother spent the last 6 months of her life at Fountain Circle, receiving the best care available to her. They never treated her like a number, and they made it a lot easier to relinquish the care of someone I love very much. Because I knew she was in good hands and getting her needs taken care of, it was easier for me to admit that I did not have the level of skill I needed to deal with her medical issues at my own home. When I first saw Fountain Circle and a few of the residents being cared for, I knew that I had found the facility where my mother would be best taken care of. "

"Overall, this facility is very clean and the staff is usually very polite and nice. My grandmother, although her dementia is quite bad, can still remember many staff members who take particularly good care of her. She is kept relatively busy throughout the day with activities and exercise, but not so much as to wear her 98 year old body out. While there is always that familiar nursing home smell that is less than appealing, this facility does a pretty fair job of keeping all of the rooms clean and neat. The only thing that I question about the place is that it would be very easy for just anyone to walk in. There is a front desk, but it is not required to sign in or notify anyone of your presence. All I can think of is some crazy person walking in and wreaking havoc on the place, and it would be so easy. However, the staff seem attentive and knowledgeable about all procedures. "

"My mother was a patient in the rehab for 4 weeks. The rehab department is beautiful, clean and very private. Staff is helpful and knowledgeable. Therapists, nurses and aids are professional. By far the most beautiful facility/rehab we toured. Rooms are huge and private. Would have given 5 stars but meal quality didn't meet my expectations. I like that the rehab department and patients are separated from the nursing home in a self contained unit. I entered through the back door as I did not enjoy being in the long term care section. Will definitely recommend facility to anyone needing help while recovering."

"The people of Rose Manor are very friendly and helpful. They're always there to talk to you or give you something you need. Their rooms are updated. Mom has her own bed, dresser, closet, and a TV. "

"My mom was a resident of The Willows At Fritz Farm. I like their activities, all the functions they offer, and a lot of community time together. The food was not of a high quality for what we paid. I'm very disappointed in the quality of the food. It's just such a huge place. My mother was overstimulated there. She was there for almost two years. We just couldn't afford it anymore. It was too expensive. There's a constant turnover in the staff. I didn't like that. There's a lot of room for improvement. Their rooms were very small, and they did not have very much closet space."

"Building is older but maintenance is seen all day long making improvements. Food was ok. Staff was great therapy rocked"

"The Willows at Hamburg is more of a nursing home. The residents have their own rooms to live in, but they're not apartments. The staff was quite nice, welcoming, and explained things as they showed us around. They have activities in one of the big fellowship rooms. I didn't like that there was a distinct smell of nursing home in the private rooms. They gave me a little welcome cake when I came in."

"We moved my Dad here almost five months ago, and have been very happy with both the facility and the staff. It is a beautiful campus, set on many acres of rolling countryside. There are lovely family visiting areas inside and outside, including paved walking trails (suitable for wheelchairs) winding through trees. The facility is always shiny clean, from the picture windows in the atrium down to the hardwood floors - even the bird aviary and aquarium always appear sparkling clean! The staff and many volunteers are attentive and respectful. It is clear everyone there respects the service given by these veterans, who now need service themselves. Dad's nursing staff and social worker are very good about communicating with us, letting us know of any changes, appointments, or special events. Dad seems peaceful and well-cared for; and THAT is what matters. "

"My mom is at Lexington Country Place for rehab. The staff members have been fantastic. They all seem to care very much about the residents and get them involved in the activities. They don't have a lot of idle time or just sit around. They help the residents feel at home. They have lots of activities, like a church service and entertainment. Everybody that I have interacted with has been helpful and attentive. The food is considerate and pretty good. My mom says she likes it. The facility is very nice. They have four garden areas and lots of sunshine. They have a church service, and they play bingo often."

"We were so glad to have Rockastle Rehab to turn to when my grandmother became ill. The staff there was well trained and provided excellent care for her. The people working there were kind, courteous, and for the most part always patient and thoughtful. Most of them took care of her like she was their grandmother, too. That made it so much easier for us to leave her, knowing she was in good hands while we couldn't be with her. The physical therapists worked wonders with her, they had her exercising more than we had been able to get her to do at home! She enjoyed the various activities, especially the outings, and she made many friends there. The one thing she did not care for there was the food, but then nothing in the world compares to home cooking. The place was always clean, the staff was awesome, and I know they took great care of my grandmother. "
