My mom is at Cardinal Hill Home Care. It is a wonderful place. From all their therapies and their nursing staff, they are very attentive to patients. We always have good results when she's been here to move on to her next step. The food is great. My mom loves it. I try it now and then and it's always very good. And they do a very good job of balancing diet for her. If she's hungry in between meals, she can call the kitchen and get anything that she wants. And then they advise her on what will fit in with her dietary needs for cardiac and for her being a diabetic. Everybody that works here, from the nursing staff to the doctors to the housekeeping staff, is wonderful. All of these are covered by Medicare, otherwise, it would be very expensive. I know looking at her statement from when she was here in June, I think the 10 days cost $62,000, so if she didn't have Medicare, this place would be out of reach for her. They provide intensive rehabilitation services here. For what they do here, it's expensive because it's very high quality. I think for the average person that doesn't have good Medicare and supplement, it would be very difficult to be able to put a family member here. But with Medicare, it makes it a place that is good for my mother. The thing is anything from general rehab to head injuries to spinal injuries, this place has amazing results. If you can get your family member here, you should try and get them placed here from the hospital.

Cardinal Hill was probably the best. Mom was there for about a month, and they were really good. The only thing was she had to share a room and she didn't like that. They were very efficient. She had just come out of surgery and they got her back on her feet as quickly as possible. Her caseworker, every time I was there, I had access to her. They kept me informed. They were very efficient. They helped her from how she was when she got there to when she got out. They did an awesome job. They're good. All her PTs and her occupational therapists were awesome. Some of the cleaning ladies came in and a couple of them had a bad attitude, but to me, it's tough hiring people in that area. Most of them were very helpful. The facility was fine and clean. She just didn't like having to share a room. Her area was pretty small.

My mother was there after a severe stroke, this place did wonders for my mother. At first she couldn't even hold her head up and within weeks she could talk and started walking and she had been paralyzed on her right side. This place is amazing . I highly recommend this facility.

Staff: The nursing aides and physical therapists were all very nice and seemed very involved with patient care. The nurses seemed a little understaffed, but were still pleasant to work with. Amenities: The rooms were large and open, with windows and appropriate furniture and a big bathroom. There seemed to be a wide variety of activities that the residents could participate in. Facilities: Public restrooms, hallways, and nurses stations were all very clean and attractive. The center itself is very beautiful and very big. The cafeteria had a good selection of food that the patients seemed to enjoy. All of the patients I interacted with seemed to enjoy the center, though most were only there for a few weeks to recover from surgery. Overall I was very pleased with the facility and staff. I think the only recommendation would be to add more nurses to the staff so that they did not seem so stressed out over paperwork all day.
