My wife moved into Sayre Christian Village Nursing Home. It is a very comfortable place, very clean, and very organized. The staff does an excellent job. Always went well, with no problems. They do bingo. They do painting, coloring pictures, and various activities that older people would be involved in. They have a dining room, or you can eat in your room, whichever, and they have a diet adapted to the requirements of the person. The food that I've tasted is good.

When you first walk into Sayre Christian Village, it's like a hospital. It's not home-like. It's a multi-story. I think that makes a little bit of difference too. From the outside, the upkeep was very nice. It's an older building. When we got into the skilled nursing tour part, the rooms were very small. They were very dark. There were two people in a room, and my friend would have had to be in a room with someone else for at least a year and a half before she would get to a room by herself. So, that was just a no-go from the beginning. The person who did the tour was very good, very accommodating, and answered all of our questions. He was good. The dining room was very small and was not well-lighted. It didn't hit me as a happy place. I didn't see any activities going on, but he gave us a list of things that they do, and they have quite a list of things. We talked to the activities director there as well.

Sayre Christian Village Nursing Home is a much larger facility. I last visited this place in November of last year. My sister-in-law was there for four years. For the most part, the nurses did a good job, but they were overworked and short-staffed sometimes. That part of that was during COVID, and they had to bring people out from outside, but the ones who were regulars and who knew the patients did a great job. The facility itself was kept clean. The people at the front desk were very nice. The people that I worked with like the hairdressers and that kind of thing were very good. They were very good with patients. The food was okay.

My mother lived here for 20 years, so I know it well. It’s very clean. All the staff are very loving & caring. Facilities have now been modernized & upgraded. They are kept in tip-top shape; very clean & designed for utmost safety. Food is great. They have different price scheduled for each building. Apartments are on a sliding scale.

Sayre Christian Village was great, it's a really nice place. I was checking out independent living because that's what my mother thought she wanted. The assisted living is considerably more expensive -- they've got both a subsidized and a full price section. They have excellent grounds. I thought the apartments were very nice-sized. They were certainly liveable, without being so large that she'd have trouble getting around, but they had plenty of room. They have a lot of activities available. They have shuttle buses to take them shopping. It was top notch and it's in a very good part of town. It's close to a lot of shopping and stores in an area that she's familiar with, so I thought it would be a perfect place. They have a cafeteria, they serve meals, and they have a snack bar that's open 24 hours (there were a lot of people down there when I visited). They also have entertainment in that room in the evenings. I only dealt with the director that gave us the tour, and she was very nice, does her business, and was certainly willing to help us out. She stayed in contact with my mother. They were great. I've heard nothing but good things about them in Lexington. A lot of people recommended that place. It has plenty of parking and a lot of green space around it. There are outdoor patios and they have cookouts and activities for her.

I found a place, but my wife passed away before I got her in. I visited Sayre Village nursing home, and this is where I signed her up on the waiting list. They are close to where I live, and they cover everything I could think of. It was a very impressive place though. They have a lot of activities there. It is a very expensive place compared to the other ones I have visited. I had been there before just visiting the people I know that were in there, and it has a good reputation, but it was a little expensive so I was looking around at the other ones. But after I've looked at the other ones, I decided it was worth the money.

I found the Sayre Christian Village through a friend who placed her mother there, and she told me some things about it, so I went and visited. Prior to that, I had been thinking about another home, but then I liked Sayre much better because of the activities that they have and the times when they take some of the residents outside the facility to events. The one-bedroom unit that I looked at, I liked very much. It was not spacious, but it was not small; it was just very practical. Their rates are lower than they are at any other place that I looked at, yet it was a very modern and attractive place. The dining room was in the basement, but it was very attractive. They had a chef, and I saw their menus. I talked to two of their administrators and asked a lot of questions, and I learned everything that I needed to know.

The facility was clean and the residents seemed well cared for. The staff really seemed to care about its patients' progress and quality of care. My mother and family were treated courteously as visitors, and the staff seemed to be very knowledgeable about their jobs. Rooms were a decent size, and the surrounding area was fine. The building was in fair condition, but I've seen nicer. The facility really seems to focus on helping families feel involved in the care of their aging loved ones. It's also a Christian organization, so that is a huge benefit to people of faith looking for somewhere that shares their values to entrust with the care of their loved ones. I felt like the staff was carefully chosen in this regard, they all seemed to be exercising their faith through their work. All in all, I think Sayre is one of the better facilities in Lexington.cility was clean and the residents seemed well cared for. The staff really seemed to care about its patients' progress and quality of care.

Overall, this facility is very clean and the staff is usually very polite and nice. My grandmother, although her dementia is quite bad, can still remember many staff members who take particularly good care of her. She is kept relatively busy throughout the day with activities and exercise, but not so much as to wear her 98 year old body out. While there is always that familiar nursing home smell that is less than appealing, this facility does a pretty fair job of keeping all of the rooms clean and neat. The only thing that I question about the place is that it would be very easy for just anyone to walk in. There is a front desk, but it is not required to sign in or notify anyone of your presence. All I can think of is some crazy person walking in and wreaking havoc on the place, and it would be so easy. However, the staff seem attentive and knowledgeable about all procedures.

I have nothing but wonderful things to say about Sayre Christian Village Assisted Living facility! My grandparents recently moved in there, and the staff has been so wonderful in welcoming them and taking care of them. The staff members tried to get to know them and taken extra initiative in inviting them to participate in the various activities that they have. I had the pleasure of dining in the dining room with my grandfather for lunch one afternoon, and the food was delicious and the service was great. The servers knew my grandfather by name and had his food and drink preferences memorized! The facilities there are very well-kept and nicely decorated. The director of the facility has been great in communicating with my parents when any issues have arisen. For example, one day my grandfather missed the weekly van that takes residents to the grocery store. He was upset and distressed that he had missed the trip. The director calmed him down, called my mother to make her aware of the situation, and about fifteen minutes later called her back to tell her that she had arranged for him to go with a different group later that day! Every staff member I have met has been extremely sweet and goes above and beyond to provide quality services for my grandparents. It is a relief to have my grandparents living there. I know that they have wonderful care available to them around the clock.
