Great Facility! It's older and could use some updates but that does not take away from the care they provide and the love they show for their clients.

When my brother was at a hospital, he was released to go to Fountain Circle Health and Rehabilitation for some reason. I'm not sure, but it's terrible. It's filthy. There's no good help. He was promised a private room, and he shared a room with someone who had been there for a very long time. To make it short, he was there for nine days and we had to call 911 twice. The first time, they kept him in the emergency room and brought him back. The second time, because he had pneumonia by then, they kept him for a week at that hospital, and that was fine. They were good, but he never went back to Fountain Circle Health and Rehabilitation. It's just a hole. It was awful. I wouldn't put my dog there for one night. That's how bad it was. You would buzz for the nurse to come or something, and they wouldn't come so we have to go down to their nurse's station and get somebody to come help my brother. The food was just awful, too. You couldn't even tell what it was. On one of the menus it was called pizza, and it was just like this round, hard, crunchy thing that you couldn't even bite into. When he got real sick there with his pneumonia, and we kept trying to get them to help him, they said, "Oh he just has a chest cold. He'll be fine." The next day, he went to the hospital in an ambulance and stayed there for a week. They had to drain a liter of fluid off of one of his lungs. He was so bad and they said he just had a cold at that place. I'm surprised they are still in business. The first time he went by ambulance, he was diabetic and his numbers were off the charts. So, my nephew came to the place to check on him and he was doing bad. So, my nephew called 911. The second time, when my brother kept saying, "I can't breathe. I can't catch my breath." They wouldn't do anything. So, he called 911 himself from his cell phone in his room and they came to get him. He had so many things to get well before he could leave and we weren't letting him go back to that awful place.

Walk in the place reeks of piss. My individual in their care would be given her meds but would just get sat on their bedside table and not checked on to see if they were taking them or not. Had to wait 30 mins to an hour to pee. Was supposed to be able to get up to pee or be given the bedpan, but instead of answering the call light promptly they were given a brief so they could go ahead and use the bathroom on themself. The reason I was given was “short staffing”. They held their pee so long it set up infection eventually going septic. Was sent out for a blood transfusion, needed platelets and has been unresponsive ever since and is now fighting for their life intubated on ventilation. This place is a joke. Poor management and lazy employees.

The rooms are a little small, but there are many areas where we can go sit on nice household furniture and watch a large screen tv with other people. All staff is more great people. I feel like a part of their loving family. From the excellent cleaning staff to the nurses, doctors & management are very friendly. We are like family. We have non-denominational church services every other Sunday in the cafeteria where we also played CORN-HOLE & bingo. I also heard other patients say " I'm going to sit down with the counselor today & go over bills ". We received presents this morning, that probably made their day/week/month. If anybody needs a tax write-off, please consider this place, I'm sure most would benefit us here.

A terrible place. My mother was a patient for rehab. She received not just subpar treatment but cruel treatment. A staff member sat her on a stool and hosed her down for a shower. When I brought it to the attention of the management, they made excuses and said they had a great facility. They would not investigate the incident. Not willing to remedy serious issues. Stay away!

My father was in Fountain Circle Health and Rehabilitation. I was very pleased with it. They were very supportive of him, and they took very good care of him. I did not see his room, since he was in COVID protocol. I was not allowed into the building, but he said they were very good to him. I talked to them probably every other day for the 12 days that he was there. They were constantly giving me updates. They let me know when his benefits were gonna be running out and what care he was getting, so I was very pleased. He said the food was OK, but they have the tendency to serve some of the same things on a daily basis, so it was not necessarily his favorite. He's also 86 years old, and he's kinda stuck in his own ways. He likes bacon and eggs and that's about it. I think his rehab was appropriate for what he needed. He said it wasn't very intense, but he was there for recovery and for protocol with COVID. They did exercises with him twice a day and had him up and about. He was really weak when he went in and he was really there to work on getting some strength back, so he could do some of his own things.

When we got to the Fountain Circle nursing home it seemed nice. Although upon walking in we realized that it was a tad unorganized. They could have made it a little cleaner. Also the Alzheimer section should have been bigger; They should have had better communication with the family of their patients. When we went they seemed to not exactly know how to treat his grandfather with Alzheimer's. Although they were very kind with him and all of the other patients while we were there. It just seemed like they were a little too strict with him where they didn't quiet understand what was going on with him. They did seem very nice though. It just seemed so sad to have so many elderly people locked in that kind of place without their families. It felt like a prison, so they should work on that too. Very closed in, like they needed to expand make it bigger and more relaxing for them.

Fountain Circle Health and Rehabilitation stood by my family's side when my mother needed to be placed in a long term care facility. They comforted and reassured us, and took great care of my mother. We were always well informed and given answers to our questions, even though it was a difficult time for my family. Even though it was a challenging time, the staff were always supportive for my family as well as my mother. Fountain Circle has many different levels of care, so if your family is considering using this facility for the care of a loved one, they are more than well equipped to deal with many situations and levels of need. My mother spent the last 6 months of her life at Fountain Circle, receiving the best care available to her. They never treated her like a number, and they made it a lot easier to relinquish the care of someone I love very much. Because I knew she was in good hands and getting her needs taken care of, it was easier for me to admit that I did not have the level of skill I needed to deal with her medical issues at my own home. When I first saw Fountain Circle and a few of the residents being cared for, I knew that I had found the facility where my mother would be best taken care of.
