In Maricopa County, as in the rest of Arizona, assisted living facilities (ALFs) are licensed by the Division of Public Health Licensing Services, Bureau of Residential Facilities Licensing. They include adult foster care (AFC) homes for up to four people in a caregiver's home, assisted living homes of up to 10 people, and assisted living centers that care for 11 or more people. There are two assisted living facilities in the Maricopa area.
