I left my mom there for caretaker respice, only for a week. They gave her medicine that she shouldn't have had, she came home with bruises because of a fall which I was not told about. I would be very careful.

 I have visited Avant One a couple of times this year. Avant One is located on the main road of Cactus in beautiful Scottsdale.  In general, I thought Avant One was a very nice home. The grounds of the facility are amazing. The beautiful driveway has a lot of parking for visitors and the backyard is very classy and well designed. The common areas of the facility are very spacious with so much room to socialize, walk around, and for entertainment.  The residents' rooms are like suites. Each room comes with a wheelchair accessible walk in shower and a lot of space to enjoy. Avant one offers ten private rooms that are worth every dollar. this home is very reasonable on their rates and you will get your bang for your buck. The staff of the facility seemed to be very caring. The management is a husband and wife team who custom built their assisted living with the thought of seniors in mind. The owners are really nice and has a great reputation as well. I think the residents get great care there. While I was there, I noticed outside agencies who came in praised the home for  proving great care. Also Avant One does really well with all levels of care, which is great and home offers so much space that it works. Very impressive home. Overall, Avant One is a great hone and I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a loving home for their mom or dad. I give Avant four stars.

Emmyrose

This is a smaller facility with 10 residents. All are private rooms with private half bathrooms. They have two shower/tub rooms. They are fully handicapped equipped. There are two certified caregivers. One lives in and one out. There is a house doctor who makes visits.They are licensed for all 3 levels of care. All food is home cooked/ They serve three meals and snacks. They have all fresh fruits and vegetables. The food is good. They can transport walking residents. Wheelchar bounds must be outside transport. They have a beautician who comes in twice a week for nails and hair. They have a nice enclosed yard with walkways, a gazebo, patio and bbq. They have an activity director who comes in twice a week for games. They have parties and bbqs. The family is relied on to take their resident for outings. The home is nice and clean. Appears residents are well cared for. The staff was not impressive for their caring attitude. I felt there was a lack of activity for these residents.
