We went to ACOYA Troon. I liked that the decor was modern. It had high 16-foot ceilings in the apartments, which was very nice. It feels more spacious. It's in the desert, so because of its location, it's smaller. It didn't have as much landscaping because they wouldn't allow it up there. After all, it's all desert landscaping. But you didn't have like the amount of patios. They had a few apartments with patios on the corner, but only very few. And around the whole property, it's mostly desert. We went to the dining room and looked at the meals they were serving and it was all fresh, nice food, well prepared and well presented. They have three meals today. You can have six meals. You can eat all day long if you want to. So that's included. And they have the same amenities as the other places, house cleaning every two weeks, and they do sheets and towels every week. And of course, if you need any help with assistance or anything, the resources are right there.

I went to ACOYA Troon. For me, the best thing about them was the location to where I live. However, my mom did not like the place at all. There were a lot of walkers and residents in wheelchairs. They had very nice staff, but I just didn't see very many people around. It seemed like they weren't out and about as much maybe because most of them were under a higher level of care than the other place. From what we encountered, the staff was great. They offered lunch, but we did not have lunch there. It seemed very dark, and my mom just didn't like any of that. They had a gym, a salon, and a nice outside firepit area.

I looked at ACOYA Troon. I was disappointed in it because of the way the rooms were designed. They had interior rooms with no windows and no light. And it seemed like it was the largest room in the apartment. They had walls that were on angles, but they were not 90 degrees. They had weird angles in the rooms. That place did not appeal to me at all. The staff was very nice. I was looking for at least a one bedroom, one bath. But I also looked at one or two baths and one or two bedrooms. Some of the rooms were three bedrooms.
