Residences at Wellpoint

We chose Residences at Wellpoint and it has a lot to do with what they offer and the personalities of the people that assisted us during the tours. My friend's upper body needed a lot of strengthening. They offer excellent in-house physical and occupational therapy, and they come to the room to do it, so that was a plus. But more importantly, is the fact that the lady that we saw was excellent, and she was a friendly person that took the time to answer our questions. The cost was a lot less than the other ones that we visited. And my friend just clicked with the agent that helped us tour it. That night, she called back to make sure what my friend thought and invited us back out to look at it anytime we wanted to. They took care of all the coordination with the movers and the truck to come and pick up her stuff and help us move in. Even though my friend paid for it, they took charge of everything. From the point of dealing with the doctors, getting the prescriptions necessary, and getting the movers. Everybody that they sent our way was an expert in their field and knew what they were talking about. That was the selling point. They invited us to share the Easter meal so that we could evaluate the cafeteria and the service and everything. They just went out of the way. That made my friend very happy. Even the neighbor across the hallway came over and knocked on the door and said, 'We want to welcome you to Wellpoint.' And in the lobby area, the people that were sitting around all came over and introduced themselves. So it seems like everybody that lives there is friendly and willing to reach out to the new residents. Everything was immaculate. The staff that served us lunch was very kind. Even though we were a little late, they were happy to have us there, which was good. Overall, it was an excellent, excellent place. And because it's Good Friday, they gave you the option of having stuffed cod with shrimp and/or prime rib because it was their Easter meal.

Residences at Wellpoint have been good. Mom has liked it a whole lot. The meals that are prepared are much better and there's more variety to choose from. The staff is super friendly. The one thing she said was the residents in this community are much more friendly. They have a ton of activities. They have an art director where they can paint things and do different kinds of art stuff. On Mondays and Fridays, they go to Walmart and Target. On Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, they go to their doctor's offices. The facility is very nice. It's only about a year old. They have a pool.

Residences at Wellpoint were very nice. It was a much newer place. The appearance of the residence was extremely good, both inside and out. They had an indoor pool. It was a heated pool, saltwater pool. I think they had a larger variety of rooms, a studio and one bedroom, and things like that. They're very clean. We mostly talked with Becca, we did meet with the other staff members, and they were very nice, and polite. So a very enjoyable interaction with the staff.
