I’m using HomeCare.com. It’s fine. They’re very good and very responsive to any concerns I have, and they’ve provided me with a good health care aide, not great necessarily, but good. They also provide light housekeeping, they help me clean myself up, and they take me to my appointment. They get here within a certain time window between 7 and 7:30, and that’s when I need them here. A lot of times my communication is directly with the aides. If she can’t come on a certain day, the agency would contact me to see whether I need some assistance or need somebody to fill me in on a given day. I think I’m paying more than I probably should because they have a mandatory number of days that I can contract for, and that’s probably more than I usually need. To maintain the contract, I have to keep them on a certain number of days.

My name is Kelly. I am a patient of Royal Home Care LLC. I wanted Royal Home Care to know my aide Fatima has been so terrific. It’s hard for me to ask or accept help, and have someone I don’t know in my home. From the beginning I’ve been so lucky to have gotten Fatima as my aide. She is not only professional, but extremely caring and kind. She truly goes out of her way and beyond measures for me.
I’ve had quite a few aides through my life and I consider myself thankful to have her here with me. I feel safe when she’s here and she always have a way of making me smile, even when I’m having a bad day.
Royal Home Care is so fortunate to have her as an employee and that makes me very lucky. I am more than grateful to have her here. I just wanted Royal Home Care to know how special she is. She’s a hard worker and always smiling. I never lack or feel hopeless when Fatima is here. She’s an extraordinary aide. I look forward to continuing working with her and Royal Home Care . Thank you so much for sending Fatima to work for me. I am beyond grateful and Happy with your Services that you provide.

Warrenton Home Care Resources
Home care services are only one of the pieces needed for seniors to gracefully age in place. There are many services and programs that are low-cost or free, that enable seniors to enjoy an independent lifestyle in the comfort of their own home, such as help with home modifications, meal delivery services, and more. Below, we’ve compiled a few of the most helpful resources in Warrenton:
Address: 430 E. Shirley Avenue, Suite 21, Warrenton, VA 20186
Phone Number: (540) 347-7729
The Fauquier Senior Center is run by the Warrenton Area Agency and provides a number of activities for seniors. The goal of the center is to help seniors to remain physically, mentally and socially active. A nutritious meal is served at midday at the center and all seniors in the area are welcome to partake in the meal. There is no charge for any of the activities or the meal but donations are always appreciated. Door-to-door transport is available to the senior center for those who are no longer able to drive. Some of the activities offered include movie days, games, holiday meals, music, disease prevention programs and social events.

Phone Number: (540) 825-3100
The Senior Cool Care program provides fans and air conditioners to seniors over the age of 60 in the Warrenton area. Seniors must meet certain income guidelines in order to be eligible for the program. There is no charge for the fans or air conditioners. The program is open from June to the end of August each year and supplies are limited.
Address: Not Listed
Phone Number: (540) 825-3100
The Home Delivered Meals program delivers meals to homebound seniors in the area who are unable to cook for themselves and have no assistance in their homes. The meals are delivered by volunteers who provide a social check on the seniors at the same time as delivering the meals and will contact the authorities if they find anything amiss. Meals are delivered on a set monthly schedule. The meals are low in sugar and salt to meet the dietary guidelines of most seniors. Special diets can not be accommodated by the program. A home assessment is required to be eligible for the meal delivery program. There is no charge for the meals but donations are appreciated to help cover costs.
Address: 430 East Shirley Avenue, Warrenton, VA 20186
Phone Number: (540) 347-2797
This program offers a safe environment for seniors who need assistance with health and personal care activities during the day. The center can be used on a once-off or monthly basis. It provides respite for caregivers and gives seniors a change of pace from their everyday lives. Seniors using the program must be frail and at risk of nursing home placement. Medicaid pays for these services and private pay is on a sliding scale.
Determining Your Loved One’s Need for In-Home Care
Aging can be a difficult process, and loved ones may not always ask for help – often times it’s up to their family to evaluate their need for help around the house. While no two situations are exactly alike, this checklist can help you and your loved ones determine when it’s time to start the search for a home care provider.
Guidelines for Talking About In-Home Care
If you’ve determined that your loved one needs the assistance of a care provider in their home, it may be time for a difficult conversation. Handled correctly, however, this process can bring a family together and ensure that everyone’s concerns are addressed. Use this PDF as a starting point to help the conversation stay as positive and productive as possible.
