Kings Manor is a Faith based, non-profit facility, and it has a wonderful, welcoming and family atmosphere about it. Our parents were in their 90s and in need of assistance, more than we kids could give. There are six of us children and we wanted the best possible community setting for our mom and dad. Kings Manor was the perfect choice for them, and they were treated like family. We were very blessed to have them there. At the time when our parents needed to go on Medicaid, they were still able to stay at Kings Manor, whereas some facilities do not allow that. One of the wonderful aspects about Kings Manor is their low employee turnover. Our parents had the same familiar caregivers for the eight years they lived there. We witnessed so much kindness, respect, dignity, and love given to our parents as well as other residents, from all the staff at Kings Manor. We are also impressed with how well the building is maintained in general, it's cleanliness, freshness, comfort, and the beautiful decor. Kings Manor is a good size building, where residents and staff get to know each other well. It has a welcoming and homey feel to it, as soon as you walk in. There are many activities, celebrations, entertainment, parties, and scenic drives for the residents to take part in. Our dad loved playing Wii bowling and mom loved playing bingo. They also took part in all activities. The dining room is bright and spacious, and the food is great and presented nicely. The building is always decorated so nicely during the holidays. The care our parents received was the same as when they first came, and as they became more dependent on their care. The caregivers were truly professional, respectful, and loving. Our family is large, including grandkids, and we were always welcome when any of us came to visit. We can't say enough about Kings Manor, and we encourage any family looking for a wonderful, safe, loving and friendly family community, for your loved ones, to consider visiting Kings Manor. They give guided tours, and you won't be disappointed. There are many more services to find out about. It is so great when the staff and caregivers know you and who you belong to when you walk through the front door. This is our personal observance, first hand, as some of us were able to be there quite frequently, and see the exceptional care our parents received while living at KingsManor. Thank you, From The Briske Family

Kings Manor seemed to be for older seniors and people who may be pre-dementia. The apartments were super small and it had kind of a depressing tone to it. The staff were nice. It's just ideal for people who are older and less active, those that don't have a lot of stuff, and are content with having lunch and then just sitting in the chair and that kind of stuff, but that's not me. They have activities, but they were like sit-down activities. They have some exercise classes. I don't think it's a bad place. I just don't think it is for me. They all do all your meals, and then they have like a weekly linen service and a weekly laundry service and all that kind of stuff.

Kings Manor was clean and looked well kept up. The person who gave the tour was very knowledgeable, took care of us, and did a good job. The menu looked adequate. At the time we were there, they were having a big activity in conjunction for St. Patrick's Day. The rooms were just smaller.

I toured Kings Manor. It was fine, it was a nice establishment. It was very nice. It was quite cozy. The facility was a nice smaller size, I think 69 rooms, and varying from small studios up to a one-bedroom. It was very cozy, it reminded me of a bed and breakfast. It seemed like there was a lot of staff and there was a doctor on call. There were residents there waiting to see the doctor, which I thought was very good. It looked like a nice place that my mom could go to, but they're very expensive. I think their studio apartments were going for close to four thousand dollars, and the place that my mom's at right now is under three thousand. She has a one-bedroom apartment and it's a really big apartment. They had meals and they had cleaning service once a week, linens, they had a washer and dryer available to the residents to do their own laundry. They had a crafts room. They had a dining room, they had a private dining room for family stuff like that. They had a courtyard or a back lawn, they had a little patio there and it was nice. It was nice overall. Everyone I met or saw was very pleasant, and the person that was giving the tour was quite pleasant. I think I saw a lady there that was a maid or a cleaner, and then it was quite busy in the lobby area because of the doctors being there. It's a full-service place, that was one thing that I did like, but in my mother's case, I'm not sure she would be needing all of their services.

Kings Manor was really nice. They didn't have any two-bedrooms, but they have a wonderful dining area. One of the things that I was impressed with about the staff there is that the staff does not turnover very often. One of the signs we look for is something where we want our parents to be, we don't want them to have to go through new people all the time, so that was definitely a five. Also they have a beautiful outside walking area that they could go to, they have activities, and they have a little bus that could take them to and from doctors' appointments and things like that. The facility was very clean and very well maintained. It felt like I walked into a nice hotel. It was nice, it smelled wonderful, and the staff was outstanding.
