Even Bugs Die Here. My aunt was (unfortunately) placed here, and it was the most horrible experience of her life. If she were still alive, she'd be writing this. She asked me to submit this review before she passed. There were bugs, broken call buttons, wails, and I saw a neglected resident being wheeled out through a side door with a black cloth covering their form (I was told to wait far down the hall, but the hushed voices and secrecy said it all). However, there was a complete lack of compassion. Care. Respect. Any kind of pride for one's work. Ethics? Compliance? Nowhere to be seen. I tried to fill out a complaint form. There was a drop box, but after my aunt had laid in her own waste all night long, I wanted to speak to someone in person. I went to the "office" and was told there was nobody with whom I could speak. I was rudely told to leave by some woman claiming to be a social worker. NEVER BRING YOUR LOVED ONE HERE. If you have an enemy, on the other hand, you've found the right place.

Not a great experience, it's sort of like camping (bring all of your own stuff) because you will be on your own. There is no help in daily care (bathing, hair, teeth). Know what to do to prevent bed sores and do it for your friend. Be wary of any medicine administered the workers do not have time to ensure safe administration. Better to bring a pill box with your own pills. The rooms are very hot so a fan is highly suggested. There is only one food choice a meal so bringing snacks or meals is recommended.

My mother stayed at Rosemont Health and Rehab. They were doing physical therapy with her. They were really wonderful. I have nothing to complain about them. I was very pleased. They made everything easier for my mom. It's just all around a very good place. I can't think of one thing that I would have a problem with. The staff seemed always very sweet and friendly. She said they were nice to her. They were always polite and always helpful. The food was very good. My aunt went and stayed. She said the food was very good, and mom would eat her whole plate. I was very happy with it because mom seemed to really like it. They made sure mom always had what she needed. Her room was immaculate, and the bathroom was immaculate. It was a very welcoming and homey feeling. They seemed to really help mom. They were concerned about her going home. They taught her some things that she could do at home, so they were looking ahead. She was there for two weeks. She did real well. It was a very nice place. Everybody that worked there was very professional, friendly, and helpful.

Sentara Nursing Center provides sufficient care to their residents. The overall care has been okay and the overall cleanliness is good. But my relative only had his physical therapy only in his room. They need to improve their telephone system. Sometimes he would have a room without a phone or a room with a phone that's not working. Calling and getting hold of the people you need to speak with has been a challenge as well. His room's space and lighting all met his individual needs.

My mother was sent here by Sentara Lee Hospital after spending several days in ICU . She was 81 years old and she was very sick. We ( my 2 sisters and I ) found kind, caring and compassionate people. At least one member of our family was there daily and some days all 3 of us would stop in at different times to visit. The employees were friendly and treated Mom and us with kindness and respect. Every time I visited, I asked her how they were treating her and each time she said she liked it there and the nurses were nice.
