My mother moved into Arbor Terrace at Sudley Manor. We chose it because of the location, the personality of the staff, the appearance, and the atmosphere of the facility. The people who are helping take care of her and the other residents are always very happy, friendly, and positive. The layout of this place is good. They have programs or different activities all day. They keep everybody busy from 8:00 in the morning till 6:30 at night. People are kind of moving around, they're not just in the same spot all day long. The facility is well kept and it looks nice. They sometimes bring in a guitar player/singer. They have a chinchilla that they pass around and let the residents hold and pet. I know for the ladies, they do nail painting. They just changed their kitchen staff. Before the kitchen staff change, I would say the meals were subpar. They just hired a new cook and a new kitchen staff. Their price is very expensive, but I do understand that they're providing a service that we can't.

Arbor Terrace at Sudley Manor was very clean and very neat. The staff was very welcoming. Their survey ratings were very high. My dad was there for five months. It was very good. The staff was very good, too. They were very attentive, and they seemed to care. The food was good. They had bingo, music, and trivia. They had entertainers, especially for the holidays, and they invited families to come in. It's worth it, but my dad couldn't afford it, so that's why he was only there for a short period. It's a good value for the money; it is just that everybody can't afford those high-end costs. They had a courtyard in the memory care, which was nice, too.

I am in search of ALF for my aunt. I toured this place over the weekend, and it was a great experience. The front desk person was very professional. She connected me to someone else who showed me around the facility. The staff was amicable. I am satisfied with the overall tour. I am waiting for my aunt to decide as she lives in NY.

I toured Arbor Terrace at Sudley Manor. It was a nice facility. The rooms were nice. The staff was very nice, too. It's managed well. It's a convenient location to a lot of local areas and shopping. They take their residents out to the mall and stuff like that, which is nice. The dining area was very nice. People would be very happy there. The upkeep was very lovely. It's clean and modern.

I went to Arbor Terrace at Sudley Manor. The visiting hours were eight to eight, and I liked that. They did housekeeping and laundry service for them. They serve three meals a day. They had transportation for doctor visits and stuff like that, and I also asked them, if I wanted to take my sister for a doctor's visit, would that be OK? And she said sure. They said that when they had COVID it was pretty bad, but they got everything under control. I like that because I asked them all about COVID, how bad it was when the seniors' homes were hit. I saw a studio apartment.

Arbor Terrace Sudley Manor was a nice and clean place. The price was high, which I guess is normal for all these places. It was a little bit away from traffic (which is kind of nice), but it is still in town. The staff was pretty nice, knowledgeable, and helpful. It was just one staff that I dealt with. The rooms were pretty small, but adequate. You could get a larger room if you want to, but the price is way up there. It is kind hard for an average person to get in there. They have some family activities or painting. The neighborhood is nice. It's close to me, and it's quiet.

We have chosen Arbor Terrace at Sudley Manor. It is my mom's move-in day today. We had seen maybe three different ones and we love the vibe here. It's very family-oriented and everyone is very, very friendly and enthusiastic, so we like the whole setting here. There are tons of activities, and it just seems like such a good fit. The staff members are very friendly, very personable and personal. It feels very much like family now. Of course, we've just been in here a day or two, but every step of the way, they made it so nice and so friendly and very easy. It felt like it's a very easy decision to make. We love the setup of the room because it's a studio, but it's called an alcove. So, it's an L-shaped room and so actually her bed is in the L, and then she's got a whole kitchen with a full-sized refrigerator, which we love. This is one of the few places to have a stand-up refrigerator, which was nice. It's got everything my mom needs and lots of good benefits. I think she's going to be very happy here. There seems to be a lot of activities. We looked at their calendars, of course, she hasn't done any of those things yet, but there seems to be a lot of fitness-type activities and arts and crafts and manicures and just lots of things. It seems to be keeping them very active, and they encourage independence, I think a little bit. There was a woman in a wheelchair yesterday and I said, 'May I help you push down?' She goes, 'Nope, they like us to do it ourselves.' And that's what we were hoping that she would do a lot of stuff independently. So I think it's going to be very good for her health-wise. My mom hasn't had a meal here yet, so we don't know quite about that yet. They do have a happy hour today, and when I went downstairs, they were setting it all up and it's Octoberfest. So, everything was very festive, and there's streamers and balloons. It just seems to be a really happy atmosphere, and we like that. It is always hard to make a transition, but I think she's going to be very happy and she's looking forward in some ways to do this. When your loved one is happy, you're happy, too. We haven't had a whole lot of experience in doing this before, but I think it's affordable as it can be. From what we've seen, which is not much, they're very good. The arts and crafts room looks like it's been very actively used. There are paintings that the people are doing that they hang up. Like once a year, they have an art show of all the paintings that people do. They do manicures on Sundays in the arts and crafts room. So, it all just sounds very delightful. We have yet to try it, but I think we're going to be happy with that.

After my mother suffered multiple debilitating illnesses in the Fall of 2020, she and I knew it was time for her to leave her 3 story home of more than 35 years. She needed a place that would also provide nursing/ADL care. I investigated multiple locations in the Manassas, VA area. Ironically, when my mother was healthier she used to visit sick/elderly members of her church - including Arbor Terrace and other Assisted Living facilities in the area. After we toured multiple facilities, we knew Arbor Terrace was the best choice. We both immediately felt the staff really cared for their residents - which is hard to find these days. My Mother moved into Arbor Terrace in April 2021. She has had the best care since she arrived and has formed strong bonds with the nursing staff - especially Tamera, Josh, Keana, and Michella. They all are stars and special in this industry. In addition, the Engagement staff led by Susan is tremendous and keeps Mom motivated to participate in arts/crafts, music, games. I can sleep at night knowing my Mother is safe and well-cared for by the team at Arbor Terrace.

Our mother is very content at Arbor Terrace. As her memory continues to decline they offer the Bridges program so she doesn't have to change her room to get additional supervision/activities. This program provides the structure and simpler instructions she needs to continue to participate in as many activities as possible. They come to her room to reminder her so she can stay engaged. The food is also wonderful. The staff kept us well informed about how mom was doing during the COVID shutdown that kept us from being able to visit her in person. They had visiting candy and root beer float carts during the shutdown period. The staff has a lot on their plates these days but they still have a smile on their faces for visiting family and the residents of their community.

The rooms are very nice and roomy. The staff is always polite and helpful and they seem to really know the residents. The residents have several activities each day to choose from and even get visits in their rooms from the pet Chinchilla that lives there. The community has a pleasant and well-appointed pub-like area, craft room, Movie Room and beautiful dining room.

Arbor Terrace has been great for my parents. The staff is caring, friendly and responsive. The facility is warm and inviting. It feels like “home”. The nursing staff is also very responsive and always willing to talk and listen regarding care. The food at Arbor Terrace is yummy and has lots of options. There are always fun activities for residents to join in. The rooms are well equipped and comfortable. I highly recommend Arbor Terrace to anyone looking for a great assisted living.

Arbor Terrace at Sudley Manor assisted living was a little bit stricter about the COVID, on their admission, and the times you could come to visit and we didn't really like that. It also just seemed like a smaller facility. Inside, everything was sort of in a circle, like the elevators were in the middle, and the rooms kind of went off of that. It was kind of chopped up and you had to go to different floors for everything. The people were very nice, it looked like a nice and clean facility, and the rooms were nice but it felt like everything was like a rotunda. Like the elevators were in the center and when you come up to each floor, you find something as opposed to the main floor of the facility. Where my dad is now, has so much in one place. This one just seems small to me. I really can't think of anything else to complain about. I just didn't like their layout as much as the one we have chosen for him. The dining room was nice but it was closed when I saw it so I didn't see a busy environment. It looked like a typical hotel-style dining room. It didn't have a lot going on. I saw a seating area that looked sort of cramped and small. They have a nice room that looked like a pub-style room and, again, it wasn't very big. They probably don't have as much room as other places but, I think, for a small place, it's nice.

We visited Arbor Terrace at Sudley Manor. It has a very intimate feel to it. They had a strong emphasis on engaging the residents. They had a wonderful activity director; she not only gets the word out about their activities, but she also goes to the various rooms and does things. They had an exercise program that was well attended. They also have physical therapy in another room. They really worked well with the residents there and did a great job. I was very pleased. The thing that kept my sister from voting for Arbor Terrace was that it didn't have that open, expansive feel to the facility itself. The staff we met was a very nice person, a young lady who was very warm and compassionate.

I went to Arbor Terrace at Sudley Manor. The intake person was very friendly, and it was very welcoming. We met several of the staff, and they were also very friendly. The tour was very complete. They're very well organized and also have nice outdoor space. We had a very good tour and a very good chat with them. They gave us some lunch to take home. I found it very tasty and very nice. The facility was more on the luxurious side and very well decorated. We saw the craft room, which was very expensive and well set up. There was an exercise class that was just getting underway; it was well attended and seemed to be going well.

My mom loves it at Arbor Terrace at Sudley Manor. The staff is very enthusiastic, caring, and great about getting her involved in activities. It's just a great place, and we like it. She loves the food there. They have art classes, they do gardening, they walk around the enclosed areas and halls, and they have some clubs, Bible studies, and a lot of cool stuff.

Arbor Terrace at Sudley Manor was absolutely wonderful, clean, bright, and well lit. They had a lot of different activities for the residents. They had a beautiful outdoor patio area with tables where they can eat. The rooms were a good size. In the shared apartment, each person would have his own bedroom and a shared kitchenette area. The entire place was well run. The staff was exceptionally friendly and seemed attentive to the residents. I always saw them greeting the residents, and it seemed that the residents were all happy.

Arbor Terrace at Sudley Manor was right up the street from our house. They have a full lockdown facility. but their price is $8000 a month. It was more than my mother-in-law could afford. Because it’s brand new, it has all the bells and whistles, and it’s almost like a high-priced hotel instead of a home. But they were lacking things like their community area for everybody to be together. They do art classes. They have a resident beagle and a resident cat that live there, and one of the administrative ladies also has a beagle. The dogs are there all day at work, and they socialize with the patients. They’re always being petted and loved on, and they’re beautifully trained. One of the residents takes really good care of them, and the residents have the opportunity to go outside after lunch and keep an eye on them. It’s in a fenced-in courtyard. They have a patio deck area with ceiling fans so in the summer time, it is a nice place to sit. It’s like a little group home. They have Lay-Z-Boys around the TV room, so every resident gets to sit in their Lay-Z-Boy. They also tend to take a midmorning nap, and everybody will be snoozing when you go in. They all have their own blanket, and they’re happy as a lamb. The Arbor Terrace is very high end, and the care that the patient is going to receive there is going to be good. It’s just you’re going to be paying so much for a lot of things that the patient is not going to notice.

My mother in-law have been a resident at Arbor Terrace Sudley for about 2 years. She really likes it there. When I visit there it is like a very large family. The workers are nice and the residents are happy. The food is really great. I could not have choose a better place for Mom. It is so nice for me to see her happy again after so many years of being sad without her husband. The staff is incredible and they take the time to listen and resolve any issues you may have. I cannot say enough good things. The family of the residents are actually treated as family members.

The residents at Arbor Terrace Sudley Manor looked happy and engaged. Their dining room is excellent. The rooms looked nice, and they seemed to have more options than I've seen in many other facilities.
