"My husband is at Evermore Senior Living, and he is getting excellent care there. Right now, there are only two residents, so it's very personalized. He's happy there, but he misses interactions with more people because there's only one other resident, and the man is not that communicative. It's very isolating for him, but I'm still very happy with the care. The facility is a new building. Everything is very clean, and they're very good about all of that. I have no complaints. Even the food is excellent. Since they only have two people, they're very good about asking him what he would like them to prepare, so he gets a lot of his own favorites served. It's also very nutritious, and the proportions are very sensible: not too much, not too little. There's only one staff member, but generally speaking, I'm very happy with the staff. They're trying very hard to keep them occupied."

"I can’t say enough glowing things about Tribute at the Glen. My dad moved here in January and they have taken such good care of him and my mother. His experience in the memory care unit at Tribute over the last two months was just phenomenal. He received top notch, loving care from every person there. My mom did too. She came to see him as much as she could and the staff and admins not only knew her, they went out of their way to make sure she was happy with the care my father was receiving and they provided a compassionate listening ear whenever she needed to process her feelings. My dad died on Tuesday and I can’t think of a more loving environment for him to have died in. Less than 12 hours after he died, a big bouquet of flowers from Tribute were delivered to my mom’s house offering condolences. If you can’t keep your loved one at home in their later years, you really can’t ask for a better place to have them spend their remaining time. The elderly are treated with dignity and respect here. They are well loved and taken care of. I’m very happy to chat details with anyone considering this facility – don’t hesitate to reach out. "

"I visited. The rooms were nice, the staff was nice, and I was so impressed with them. They seemed to have a lot of crafts and they take people out to the malls and do excursions. They seemed to have pretty good activities. The best thing about them is I think the people that I talked seemed really sincere and they did a good job of following up. "

"Advent Care is like a house in a neighborhood. It's a nice idea, but it wasn't quite what my aunt needed in terms of the bathroom being accessible. I think it would have been difficult for her to get around the house in a wheelchair. The lady was very helpful. Even when she knew that we weren't going to be able to do private pay, she shared resources with us on how to get financial help to try to get her into a comfortable situation. She even followed up with me later and sent me websites and stuff. It has two rooms, one has two beds, and the other only has one bed. She said her family lives there at the house, and there was a dog, which I know my aunt wouldn't like. She said that when her husband and her child are home, they help. She prepares meals, which is nice. My mom went with me, and she is in her 60s. She does have knee problems, and she had a hard time getting around. There wasn't a railing on the front step. There wasn't a ramp. She had to use the bathroom, and she had a hard time getting up off the toilet because there weren't the handicap bars where they needed to be. I wasn't comfortable with it. It is not well-equipped for someone who can't walk on their own. If they can get up and walk around, it is a nice little house, and meals are made from scratch. They had chairs and stuff outside, but it was a question of how to get them out there. There's no ramp. The lady said that they encourage them to be out and about, and they have TVs in the family room. She was very helpful, even knowing that we weren't going to be able to give them our business. She still continued to offer support, health websites, things like that to help us find a place and offered to even take my aunt temporarily for a lower price if we couldn't find a place for her to live, like if we couldn't get the Medicaid thing settled. She was a very, very nice lady. It was more physical equipment-wise that was questionable. The food looked good, like homemade fresh vegetables, chicken, that kind of thing."

"I toured Home Eldercare. The staff was pretty nice and tried to let us know what to expect there and what service they would provide. However, the only thing is that the living conditions are a little bit different than what we expected. Two people will share one unit, and the bathroom is quite tight. I'm a little concerned about sending my mom there, and that's the only thing, but the staff seemed willing to help."

"We're moving into Harmony at Chantilly. My daughter found this place. The price is right. The place is beautiful. I'm very anxious to get there. The rooms are nice size and there's a full kitchen. They do a lot of trips. In fact, the day we were there, they were at a winery (which appeals to me). They have happy hour, a pub, and a theater. It is only 20 minutes from my daughter, so all those things are important to me. The staff was wonderful, really nice, and he was thorough. We had no questions when we left. The building itself is three years old, and it is immaculate. I love it because it's close to my daughter; she loves it too. My husband likes it, so he's very happy."

"I like the grounds around The Virginian. The setting is very pretty. It seems huge. It seems like a hotel in some of the halls. That's my husband's favorite. They supply the appliances. They're fully equipped. They have a kitchenette and everything. The tour staff was very nice and very knowledgeable, and she could answer all our questions. The building was very clean. We didn't walk through it, but it's huge, and the grounds are gorgeous."

"I went to tour Hunters Woods at Trails Edge. It was a new facility. It was very nice. They had a lot of good controls for people in assisted living, and they had a lot of nice amenities. They had good security measures and a lot of modern stuff for the people that live there."

"The Providence Fairfax has excellent facilities. It's very well maintained and very well cared for. The proximity is close to my sister, my nephew, and my nieces. So, we could have a lot of family support for my father. Our move-in experience was very good. People are very welcoming and the residents are also very welcoming and they socialize. It's a good location. There's plenty of parking for the families and things like that. They have an excellent chef. The main thing that my father is doing right now is physical therapy, which he likes, but they also have different outing trips. Sometimes they have activities where people come in and play the piano or do some musical activities. There's movie night and when the weather's nice and you want to sit outside, there is a rooftop. Some amenities are available for whoever wants to participate. The facilities are very clean and very well laid out. My father has a one bedroom so there's enough space. He has a nice size bedroom, a comfortable living room, a kitchen, and elevator access. They also provide laundry service and cleaning services. So, they clean once a week and do laundry once a week. Internet and utilities are provided. It's only ten minutes from the hospital just in case of emergencies. The staff has been very helpful, very friendly, and very supportive. It's like staying in a five-star hotel. The food is excellent. It is very expensive but they provide the services that you need. In the Fairfax, Virginia area, everything there was expensive so that's just what's in the area."

"My mom has been living in this facility for the past 6 months and I couldn't be happier. the entire staff is super friendly and all the services are above grade!! I look forward to coming to see my mother on a weekly basis for a long time."

"I went to Potomac Place Assisted Living and Memory Care. They seemed to have very nice people working there. The facility itself is very, very nice, clean, and well-kept. The layout is very good. In general, it's a beautiful place. But I don't want to leave Alexandria because all my doctors are here. The rooms are gorgeous. They have a kitchen, a bathroom, a living room, and a bedroom. It is all very clean, very neat, and very nice. The person who took me around was lovely, lovely, lovely. She's a very nice person. She explained everything to us in detail. I would love to be her friend. You get your meals if you live there. Meals are included, and you get three meals a day. If you want to, you can have your meals in your own apartment if you don't want to go to the dining room. They have a beauty salon and a barbershop. They got everything there that you would need. They have patios and out front, they have a lot of seating where you can sit out there and visit and have company. As you enter, they have a visiting area, too. They have their mailboxes where mail is delivered here. You have your own keys and your own mailboxes. It's beautifully decorated. It's gorgeous."
