My mother is moving into Round Rock Assisted Living (Peabody) next month. We selected this place based on the fact that they're a Class B facility, so they have a better caregiver-to-resident ratio. It's a 4-to-1 ratio, so they have lots of caregivers that spend a lot of time with the residents. It's a small facility, and we just really fell for the director who has a high attention to details. Mother's going to have a private room, which had less space but more of a community house feel where all of the residents share the common area. It's going to be really good with lots of games for all of them to play. One part that interests us is that the director and some of his staff are licensed therapists, and so if you have a situation where your loved one has to have ongoing therapy, they learn the therapy routine from the visiting therapist, and continue it day after day. The regular therapist goes there two days a week. They understand that language. This place just blows other places away.

Peabody Place is very well-kept and it’s closer to town. There’s plenty of room for stuff. They have single, double, or triple bedrooms -- whatever you needed. The staff was just very nice. It just seemed like a comfortable place to stay.
