My husband is a resident of Orchard Park at Victory Lakes. I was looking for a community that could meet his special needs. He is in advanced dementia, but he still has a lot of cognition, and he's mobile. I wanted a spacious community with nice walking paths, and this one did, and it also provided more diversion for him. He does participate in some of the activities. They have a spacious living area where the residents can get together and do different things, such as watching TV, playing games, or whatever. They do have entertainment from time to time because I've been there where there was a music group. He does have a personal caregiver to help him. They allow outside personal caregivers to be in. He does have a small private room. It's the smallest private room, but it's adequate space for him to move around, even when he wants to use his walker. The shower area is inside the room, and it's nice and safe. It's also big enough to get wheelchairs in if it ever comes to where he needs one. It's neat and clean, so I'm satisfied with his room.

Orchard Park at Victory Lakes was very nice. The staff was very friendly. The facilities were clean and lovely. It's a beautiful place. They would be in my top three or four picks. What we loved about it was it was so close. The staff was also very nice and on the ball. We came early because we said we needed a different time than what we had scheduled, and they were very accommodating. They have a library and so many different activities available for the residents. It just looked like a very nice place. The layout of the room would have been perfect for my dad. We were going to look for an individual rather than a shared room at each of the places, and their room was very nice.

I toured Orchard Park at Victory Lakes. It was clean. It didn't smell. I like the fact that most of the people there were engaged in something. They weren't just sitting around in a chair. It seemed like all the patients or whatever you want to call them were doing something or somebody was looking after them. The staff was very friendly and caring. Everything looked spacious and clean and she showed us what the room would look like for memory care, and of course, you have to bring your furniture. It was bright and cheery and nothing looked drab.
