"We liked The Delaney at South Shore a lot. I think the place was all well cared for and we just felt like it would meet our needs. They had the largest apartment and the location was good. We met two ladies, and they were both very nice. The one that showed us around was new, so she wasn't quite as familiar as the other one. The other one just talked to us for a while. I wanted to take some pictures, and so she took my cell phone and said she would take it for me, but she probably didn't know how to use my cell phone because none of the pictures were there when I got home. So, I'm disappointed because I wanted to look at the pictures. I can remember that it's quite expensive, though, but we liked it best."

"The tour at The Park At Bay Area was fine. There was a lady who took us around and showed us all the different apartments. They didn't have any apartments, though, I think they only had studios. They were minimal. I think you could have a microwave and an ice box. I don't think there was a kitchenette. They showed us the community area, the lunchroom, and the business office. They were having some kind of event that day, some kind of social gathering for the residents. It was relatively new, it was clean and well-maintained."

"We visited the assisted living facility of The Reserve at Pasadena. They're a very clean facility. The decorations that they have, as far as the whole building itself, look like a hotel instead of a nursing home. The rooms were very nice. The nurses were nice, and the people seemed happy. They were all sitting in the kitchen eating, and it was very nice. I like that my father would have a private room for himself there with his own shower, and he can control his air conditioning, because he gets cold and then he gets hot. I really like the whole place in general. They have a hands-on baking class where they can all purchase a plate and cook whatever they want. They have bingo nights, movie nights, and all kinds of activities. The person who gave the tour was very nice and respectful. She asked me if there was anything that I wanted to ask about, and she answered every question. She was very nice to the people who were there, and they all seemed to know her. There were hugs, and it's like they're one big family. They were in the process of eating lunch, and she said we were welcome to sit there and eat if we wanted to. She said they have a chef who works there, and he prepares gourmet meals for them. He used to work for a hotel, and they hired him there. He's been cooking for them for 20 years."

"The Reserve at Pearland has an awesome nurse. The facility looked lovely. The people there were very friendly and welcoming. They have lots of things to do. It was a beautiful place, but their staff was what really stood out for me. They were so friendly. They've reached out to me and they've offered to do things. They were wonderful. Crystal was the name of the nurse and she was fabulous. Chloe was the one taking us around and she was really good, too. They've got good-sized rooms. The atmosphere was very welcoming and friendly. Everybody was very nice. If they saw us, they introduced themselves, so I couldn't ask for better."

"Can’t say enough about the amazing level of care these wonderful staff provided our dear mother who lived at the residence the final year of her life. Mom had suffered strokes and needed enhanced attentiveness that our family couldn’t provide. We toured the facility and were immediately impressed and felt at ease. After she was accepted we always felt peace of mind knowing that she was cared for by the staff the same as they would take care of their own."

"Orchard Park at Southfork was a very nice place. They were farther away, but the staff was very friendly. They took us on a tour and tried to be as accommodating as they could. The building was very clean and nice. The layout of the room was also accommodating and good. They gave us little cups with crackers and little welcome signs and were very friendly."

"My husband moved into Angels Landing Residential Care Homes. One of the things that impressed me was that she came to the house to meet us. She wanted to meet my husband, and she called before letting me know that I did not need to worry. They were going to take care of my husband. A lot of times, people don't hear you. I did not get the feeling that it was a financial reason for her concern. I sensed her authenticity, integrity, and dignity. His living space was impeccably pristine. It was suggested that no family members come for 30 days in order to give my husband a chance to acclimate to a new environment, and I thought that was just really impeccably on point. I've experienced good customer service there."

"The Tradition is a beautiful setting for our Mother and she has come to feel that it is her new home. She has stabilized during her two and a half years on the Memory Care Unit and my family is grateful for that. She has received good medical support during a few challenging times. The Directors of Nursing Shay and Stephanie have been responsive to both my family and my mother during this time that she has been in Memory Care. I truly know that they genuinely work diligently every day to provide for the residents at Tradition and I can speak on behalf of my own mother and say that that has made difference for the better for her during this time in her life. Shay also referred us to an excellent private care practitioner in Houston which has also been helpful beyond words which led to our mothers successful recovery. The nursing directors have been clear about what our mother has needed and were correct. They knew the limitations of what can be provided , they both told us their assessment for her care needs , made recommendations for a sitter and our family responded. Our mom benefitted. Food is very good. Environment is clean and attractive. Staff are professional and kind. My only recommendation for the Tradition administration If feasible would be to hire more caregivers. A sitter is an additional charge. A sitter also keeps mom safe due to her advancing memory loss. More staff would help out on this matter. Overall, I give the staff and facility high marks. Thankyou."

"We went to see Belmont Village Senior Living West University. It was very pricey. They told me that it was like five thousand dollars. We couldn't afford it, but out of all the places we saw, that was the other one that was very active. The apartments were a lot smaller than the other place for what you're paying. They had a little balcony where the seniors could go sit outside. A balcony with, chairs, umbrellas, everything, and they told us there were walking paths, but we didn't see any. They had a library, a beauty shop. They took pride in the veterans, and they have pictures of them. They had huge professional portraits of each of their residents that was a veteran, that had like a plaque, and said where they had served and everything. That was cool. I thought that was a very nice touch to it because we hadn't seen another place that was like that. We saw a poker table, a pool table, we saw that they had other activities. Even if because of COVID, they can't get out and go to places, their bus driver would take them on like scenic drives and they would just at least be able to get out and drive around in the bus and kind of give them a little tour of Houston and take them along the bayous and things like that."

"The Village of Meyerland is a beautiful community. It looks like they have a lot of activities going on. The residents are very engaging. I have my mom with me, and they reached out to chat with her and talk about their experience there. The residents seem very happy as well. They were bowling that day, but I think they do lunches out. They have a library, game night, movie night, and lots of different things throughout the day like on their activity calendar. The dining area looked nice. The place was very well maintained. My experience with the staff was good. They're knowledgeable, friendly, and very helpful."

"The Village of Southampton was stunning. The views there are tremendous. You can see the whole city and can see downtown. The location is in the Rice Village at Rice University. There's a whole bunch of shops there. As long as we're able bodied, we can walk a mile or two. There's a lot of places that are within walking distance. That's the strong point of that one. The views are awesome. It's like 18 stories (or something like that), and all the apartments are just gorgeous. We've been there twice. They have exercise rooms, a swimming pool, and a lounge on the top floor. You could buy alcohol, snack foods, sandwiches, and stuff. The view is like drop dead gorgeous. There's an outside balcony that goes halfway around the building. It's stunning. The food was excellent. This is the best place in town."

"My 51 YO stepson, who suffered a mild stroke last year, has been a resident at Ms. Anderson's home for several months, It is a professionally managed, very well run facility, clean, good food and run in a homelike atmosphere. Ms. Anderson does an excellent job of dispensing the proper medications, and scheduling and transporting the patient to required doctors appointments. She keeps me informed and up to date on the medical condition of the resident, and doesn't hesitate to contact me about any of his specific needs. The home has met all my expectations, provides good value for the cost, and I feel quite comfortable leaving my stepson in Ms. Anderson's care."

"The Village of River Oaks was beautiful with lots of beautiful common areas. The menu in the dining facility looked fantastic, the people and the staff that I met were very nice and professional. It's a new facility, and I like the location. They also have meals, but I did not sample them."
