We liked the concept of Helen's Care - so we decided to check it out as an assisted living option for our aunt. We were told that they provide an assessment and then give an opinion on what the best arrangement might be. We know our aunt needs care -- but are trying to decide what kind of living environment will best suit her. The staff we met was very professional, but it was also clear that they really enjoy what they do and genuinely care about their clients. The cottages we saw were all really peaceful -- the kind of environment that any person would enjoy - regardless of age. They all resembled what you might find in a country getaway -- but with en eye toward safety and proximity to the major Dallas metro area. This means that the residents are not cut off -- but instead may maintain their relationships with the city as they like. Each unit was spacious, bright with a lot of light and French doors -- but still cozy and easy to maintain. The residents may enjoy the outdoors to get their exercise - or use the gym facilities. They have many nice outings in and around the Dallas area. We really liked what we saw at Helen's -- and it was clear to us that they provide safe and caring living environments and offer the best care possible for all of their residents.
