"Brookdale Farmers Branch would pay for everything. They pay for the utilities. they feed you three times a day, and they have a ton of activities. I got a chance to mingle with some of the residents and they're just very nice over there. The staff asked my opinion constantly throughout the tour about what I thought of the place and if I could think of anything that would make it a better place for seniors. Everybody was just very, very friendly, and I think those are the right people for me to be around. They let me come in to have meals with them. As a matter of fact, I think I've been to lunch almost every day this past week, and the food was delicious. The building itself was very clean."

"Sunrise of Plano was very nice, but I think the turnoff for my aunt there was they had a dog that lived there, and she didn't like that. Their dining hall was beautiful, and the residents were very nice. The rooms were nice. They had a variety of choices. They had different floors for different levels of care. The atmosphere was very nice. People were out and about. They seemed to be involved in activities and things. The staff during the tour was excellent. She kind of gave us information that we didn't know before in terms of what to look for in a facility. They offered us a beverage and it was delicious. It was like a vitamin water. When my aunt left they gave her a goodie bag, and it had fresh bread in there. The staff told us their company started this whole process of assisted living many, many years ago, so they are the initiators of having assisted living or independent living for elderly people."

"Sunrise of Hillcrest was very good. The woman who gave me the tour was very informative and I got a lot of good information. It was time well spent. I learned a lot. I like that it's smaller and it's close to where I live, so it will be convenient. The cleanliness was very good. I only saw a studio and it was nice, bright, light, and well appointed. It was a very nice facility. In assisted living they have medication management, laundry once a week, housekeeping once a week, and they have a lot of activities available to the residents. The staff was really friendly. They have a nurse onsite 24 hours a day, so that's good. It's a nice location. There's room to go outside and it's very pleasant."

"Sunrise of Frisco was really good. They were very thorough. It's a nice community, well laid out, and it looked like they had a good program and a good ratio of caregivers to patients. Pricing was a little high for what we were going to be able to afford. They had group activities there in the facility: social groups, games, opportunities for people to mingle. They had van or bus service to take people outside the facility as needed. "

"The food at Appletree Court was good. I've only had one meal there, but they had variety for the guests and the patients, so it was a nice experience. They're very accommodating. They have activities and stuff for my wife to do and she is engaged in those now. The facility impressed me with its cleanliness and it didn't have any of the smells you usually associate with nursing homes. The staff is very friendly and I stay in contact with them throughout the week. Even if I can't see my wife, I can call them and check on my wife and they'll talk to me and be very responsive. She is doing Bible study. She seems to enjoy doing puzzles. They had Santa Claus come in already and they decorate for the holidays. They have decorated for both Thanksgiving and Christmas and singing Christmas carols and stuff like that. Right now, I'm impressed with the facility. The only thing I'm having problems with is the wi-fi goes down periodically and I try to watch my wife on a camera in her room. That's the only problem I've had. Lakiesha is very good. I'm getting my money's worth."

"We visited the Day Spring Assisted Living assisted living facility while searching for a place for our aunt to live in the Plano region. The outside area was very nicely maintained. The grounds outside offered easy access for residents, where they can enjoy walking around safely. We could see that there is also plenty of space to have parties and other gatherings. The facility can accommodate all levels of ambulation. The foyer was fresh and bright with very nice decorations and furniture. All of the indoor rooms had plenty of fresh air and light. Each room was beautifully decorated and furnished. The colors throughout the building were soothing and comfortable. Communal activity rooms were spacious, with comfortable furniture. The seniors can easily socialize, make crafts, play games, watch TV and films and participate in many stimulating activities. The exercise room featured well maintained exercise equipment and aerobics and yoga classes. The residents go on trips to visit the many area galleries and museums, eat at casual and fine restaurants and enjoy the many other cultural events offered in the surrounding region. The private rooms featured plenty of space in nicely decorated surroundings. All had a great deal of natural light and fresh air with very comfortable furniture. Healthy snacks are offered all day and into the evening, as well as whenever residents request them. The dining room was quite nice, with plenty of space. The food we saw looked and smelled delicious. The menus all had healthy food options for all kinds of diets. The seniors looked like they really enjoyed this living environment and the staff was considerate, kind and caring. "

"I came today for a tour and they had a drive thru event where I received lasagna, salad, bread stick and tiramisu. The tiramisu was amazing , like heaven, The Chef Monte did an amazing job. Jordan toured me and I loved the apartment he showed. It had lots of storage and great windows for my mom - she likes lots of light. I will bring my mother back asap to pick out her apartment before the holidays!"
