I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My mom has been at Midtown Center for Health and Rehabilitation for about 9 months now. The nurses that she has have been good. The staff that watches her every day does a good job. But overall, I think it was average. I think a lot of the simple things could have been done much better as far as housekeeping because she needs supplies in her bathroom, like paper towels or stuff like that. She has a nice shared room with a private bath. They have activities. But she does not engage too much in them because she has dementia. They have someone that styles their hair. They do have a courtyard out front and one in the back.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

I have a relative that is a patient at this horrible facility. It is dirty and it smells horrible. Patients are all over the facility unattended and being treated like animals. The staff members on the third floor are rude and heartless. One CNA refused to put the patient in the bed stating she is not covered under Workers Comp and she is not hurting herself. The food is sometimes unrecognizable and they just dump the trays whether the patient can feed themselves or not. The State needs to shut this place down.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My brother was in St Peter Villa Dmhc for 3 weeks for rehabilitation. The physical and occupational therapy people were wonderful. They motivated him well, he accomplished a great deal, and they were excellent. However, it's a horrible, rundown old facility. Within 4 days, they lost all his clothes. It took 2 1/2 weeks after that to find his clothes again. I wouldn't leave him there full time. I feel really bad for the people who live there, but for a short-term occupational or physical therapy stay, it was great. He had to share a room with somebody else, which was not good. They just roll everybody down in their wheelchair in front of the TV and leave them there all day. It felt like a hospital. They claimed to care about the residents' quality of life, but I didn't see any evidence of anything. He was supposed to be on a diabetic diet and once they knew he was going to be discharged, they stopped bothering and his blood sugar went way back up. I'm not real impressed.
