It's small, but I'll get used to it with no problem. The staff who gave the tour was very, very helpful and very open-minded. It was a pleasure talking to him."

"We liked Ashwood Square Retirement Community. It was a gorgeous place. The people were friendly. The staff who gave us the tour was very informative and very friendly. She answered all of our questions. They had a gym, a salon, a library, a post office, and a general store."

"My mom has been in the Regency House for three weeks now, and they've definitely met my expectations. Their staff is very friendly and seems genuinely concerned with the residents. They interact with them. It's just a good environment. I think there's maybe a capacity of around 50 or so, and it's more of a family feel than a nursing home. What I like the most is the care that they provide and the location. It's convenient for me because it's located between my work and home. It's also a place that gives us the best care that she needs. The rooms are really nice too. They're almost like a little small apartment. She has a living space, and then a little small separate bedroom (which is all hers). It's private, so it's nice that you could bring all your own furniture and stuff from home. They have daily activities like trivia and bingo. They've been really good to work with. They've called me, kept me up to date on different things, and go above and beyond in what they could do."

"I toured Ridge Manor Rossville. It looked very nice. They had done a lot of updating and remodeling, and the inside looked nice, too. The neighborhood leaves a lot to be desired, but the entrance itself looked fine. It's just that somewhere in the neighborhood, there's a trailer park next door that's a little bit rundown. The facility looked fine, very clean, and updated. The staff was very nice. I met with a young man and a lady there, too. They showed us some rooms and they talked about different options. They gave us different financial options."

"My mom moved into Story Point Chattanooga. Some of the places we visited did not smell good, but this place was very open and refreshing, and everyone was friendly. They knew their residents, knew their names, and it had a good feel. Everyone there has been extremely helpful. Their care staff is very easy to communicate with. They seem to care about my mom and are very accommodating. The meal is one of the things that they are accommodating. It's not exactly a special diet, but it requires special preparation. She also has her food brought to her because she's not able to go to the dining area at this time. So, they've been very helpful with that, too. They have games, bingo, church, singing, happy hour, and cookouts. They have lots of activities. They have a bus that can take them out shopping or to doctor appointments, but she has chosen not to participate or has not been able to. They are expensive, but compared to what other people are saying, it's very much in line."

"I like everything about Signal Mountain Senior Living. The only thing I don't like is the rent was way too high. The place was clean, neat, and taken care of."

"We like everything about The Canopy at Boynton Ridge's memory care from the facility to the way it was set up. My mom would have her own miniature apartment. My mother is an outside person and the way it was built around a gated recreation facility is nice. She could go outside and have plenty of room to just do things, or sit and walk if she wanted. She would be safe. No worries about her wandering off or forgetting where she was and not being able to get back. They had all kinds of things that she could sign up for with different amenities like the one for hair services. They were a very nice facility. The facility was very clean and very nice. We were just very impressed with it. You can tell from the smell that it is clean. The food menu sounded great, too. They also told us how the residents would sit at the table and the staff would come around and wait on them like they were in a restaurant. It was neat. The staff who showed us around addressed all of our questions and was very sweet."

"I toured Thrive at Brow Wood. The staff was helpful. She took us on a tour and told us the different things that they do. They have a Wii and my brother used to bowl. They had a Wii with a bowling app so that he could sit in his wheelchair and act like he was bowling. The facilities were great. The layout was good. They had a lady there who helped them paint and showed them how to paint pictures. The activities director was nice. While we were there, we got to watch him. They were dancing. They were doing karaoke. That was delightful."

The appetizing aromas wafting from the kitchen hint at the culinary adventure for my grandmother. I can't help but feel uplifted by this nurturing environment."

She felt loved and safe there, and it gave us peace that she was in good hands when we couldn’t be there. "My friend moved into Charter Senior Living of Cleveland 2 months ago. The staff is very attentive and caring. I know that they have at least weekly bus rides around various places. They've got daily exercise classes in the mornings. And he's been very pleased with the meals, as well. His room is more than adequate for him. It has a nice-sized bathroom with a handicapped shower in it. He has a double bed, a TV console with a TV, and a dresser."

"We went to Pleasant Valley Personal Care. It seemed fine. It was quiet and peaceful. They were close to the forest. You can go out and sit and they had swings and different things around the place. They had a nice porch to sit on and rocking chairs. The one lady that was showing us around was very nice and helpful. A couple of others that came through were friendly and polite. It seemed like it could be a nice place to be. The dining area wasn't quite as large, but it was nice and homey. It's like going into your own dining room where kitchen and everything was all right there."

"My mother was at Dalton Square for three months. We were well satisfied with them. My mother didn't want to mingle a whole lot, but they had activities all the time for those people. The food was excellent. The staff was excellent, too. My mother was very happy there and we were happy with them. My mom had an apartment with a bedroom, a nice walk-in bathroom and shower, a little kitchenette, and a little living room area. So that was very, very nice. They also had activities going on all the time."
