My mother is currently at Wellmore of Lexington for short-term rehab, but it's becoming more and more obvious that she's going to need to go to a skilled nursing facility. Once her Medicare runs out, they do not accept Medicaid. Because of that, I'm going to have to move her from here. I visit her every day. I have no complaints at all. It is very clean. I would love for her to be able to stay here. Neither she nor I have the financial resources to be able to pay for this. We have about another 30 days or so that her Medicare will be paying. If it was possible, I'd keep her here. This place is very good. The food is great, too. She undergoes some physical and occupational therapy every day, about an hour or so in total, a day. They also have group therapy on occasion. They have things that they do with the folks that are here.

I am deeply concerned and disappointed with the care my mother received at Wellmore Nursing Home in Lexington, SC. My mother, who was in need of compassionate and attentive care, was subjected to conditions that were far from acceptable. During her stay, it was distressing to witness her wandering the halls aimlessly due to a lack of adequate supervision. The staff seemed either overwhelmed or indifferent, and this lack of attention to her needs left her in a vulnerable and unsettling situation. There were multiple instances where she was found sleeping on the floor, which is not only unacceptable but also indicative of severe negligence. It is profoundly troubling to think that a facility entrusted with the care of our loved ones would allow such a situation to occur. Overall, the quality of care at Wellmore Nursing Home fell significantly short of expectations. The lack of proper supervision and the failure to provide a safe and comfortable environment for residents are major concerns that need urgent addressing. I hope this review serves as a wake-up call for both the management and prospective families to carefully consider their options and ensure their loved ones receive the care and respect they deserve. I gave them 2 stars because the day nurses did a great job but beware at night!

The staff is welcoming and do a great job of walking you through the initiating process. They are quick in attention to detail in addressing problems. The facility is clean, cozy and has many activities for residents. Highly suggest.

My farther has been at Wellmore of Lexington for just over a year. He’s in memory care. It took us all some time to adjust. We love having him there. His room is spacious, the lounge/eating area is always clean with lots of outside light coming in. They can sit outside. The activities are dad’s favorite thing to do other than eat! The staff is friendly, caring and attentive to his needs and our concerns. It’s a beautiful safe place. We love it!!

My mom has been at Wellmore of Lexington for over a month now. It has been a very good experience. It's just really nice and clean, and the people are very friendly. The staff has been wonderful. I haven't met anyone that wasn't great. The food is delicious. They have a chef there and they have a fancy dining room. They even have a pub in their restaurant where the residents can have a glass of wine. The layout of the facility is nice, but it's kind of a long walk down the halls. The rooms are very nice, much like your own home bedroom would be. The whole facility is very well maintained inside and outside. They have a lot of activities. They have an activity room and exercise rooms.

I went to tour Wellmore of Lexington and I loved the place. I loved that it was a gated community and everything was beautiful. The staff was friendly, but the price was way too high for my sister. The staff was very friendly and very helpful when I came in. We were offered to come in and eat, but we didn't do that. They had a lot of activities for the patients, they had a lot of activities to keep them busy, so it was nice. They had a gym and salon, they have their eating facility, which was actually a restaurant. The place was beautiful and excellent.

I had a very nice time at Wellmore of Lexington. The facility itself was clean, up to date, and decorated nicely. It's a cheerful atmosphere. All the staff were very positive. The clients who were there all seemed to be very content. They have a heated indoor swimming pool, an exercise room, and a gym for the clients. The room that we saw was essentially a studio, which had a small refrigerator, a microwave, a TV, a recliner, and a bed.

This review is for Sarah, the Activities Director. She is someone who genuinely cares for the residents in Memory Care, not just performing a job. She strives to bring quality of life for these residents through the many interactions she plans on a daily basis. She engages and encourages and without her I am not sure how our family would have survived the shutdowns over the last year. Living 3000 miles away, I can only say that the weekly FaceTime calls, the photos she sent me showing my mother participating and the encouragement she gave allowed me peace when I could not visit. Sarah goes above and beyond what is expected of her to give every single resident a sense of accomplishment and importance. She even took her own personal time to purchase ingredients to help my mom make her favorite pie for the pie contest in March. There is originality in her activities, and she focuses on what the residents have enjoyed in their past as well as bringing them joy in each day. She will play my mom’s favorite hymn for her on her phone, read devotionals to her on the bad days, and encourage mom to engage. I can’t imagine what my mom’s life would have been like over the last 16 months if Sarah was not there. We cannot say thank you to her enough.

Wellmore of Lexington has been very nice to my mom. She had been able to go down to their dining area and she enjoys that. It also has a lot of different activities to do, hobby type of things. The facility is modern and it's always clean. We've only been here for a little while, and everything is great there.

We're on a waiting list at Wellmore of Lexington. We chose it for proximity to family. It felt good, and the staff was excellent. It was very modern and clean. It was independent. I would recommend it for the people; The people that we met were fabulous. It's near Lexington Medical, but for us it was near family. It was all new construction.

My mother died 15 November after bringing her home on 6 November. Cause of death Starvation. She had a broken molar that had assessed 12 October, and we made dental appointments, but Wellmore couldn’t get her there for the first one. So the dentist came out and said she needed that molar removed. Wellmore said they would handle it. The Appointment they made was 2 November. The dentist wanted me at the appointment. When I saw my mother she was skin ands bones. Within four days I had her home with a new hospice....admitting diagnosis, severe malnutrition. My mother lost over 25 pounds in three weeks. I called everyday to see if she was eating, and always the same response she seems to be.....not what I asked. Not one time did anyone call concerned about her rapid weight loss, not once. Total neglect. This is skilled Nursing people, but I guess you can take off the s. My mother died a very painful because her body was in ketosis ands wouldn’t except any food, but lord knows we tried. My mother had dementia and couldn’t speak for herself, she couldn’t call me to say help me, it was almost impossible to talk with anyone at skilled nursing...even their hospice personnel would tell me, they had a hard time with skilled nursing. We paid Wellmore 9000 dollars a month for Mother’s care....and this is what we got. Beware of their Smoke sand Mirrors....their director was fired and was escorted off the property, the Doctor who saw my quit or was fired.

Our mother is a resident in Wellmore now and we are so pleased with all aspects of this community! The caregivers and Med-techs are so well-trained, professional and caring! Special thanks to Sherese, Trina, Iesha, Jabrasia, Dominique, and Christen for all their special attention! Sarah, the Activities director, is a special lady that keeps mama active and happy too! When we have any logistical questions, Kim M and the Concierge staff such as Kimberly, Ashley, and Mary L are so very helpful! The buildings and grounds are so pretty and the interior decor is beautiful too! Thank you to everyone at Wellmore in Lexington!
