We visited Highland Park Senior Living. It was very nice. The people were very, very nice to deal with. However, the place that my loved one is in now is more spacious than what we were looking at in Highland Park. The place itself is very welcoming. It looks like you're going into like a hotel. The person who took us around was very accommodating. Of the places we saw, it was one of the two my friend would have probably gone to.

Highland Park is a wonderful community. I love the staff there. They go above and beyond what their job calls for. My father is in the dementia unit. They treat everybody like family and they're constantly in contact with me when anything is going on with him. They let the residents create their own world and they have structured games for them. I love the food there. They offer respite for people my age as well. They have karaoke, Bingo, people who come in and sing, and crafts. The price is not on the high side at all. It's actually cheaper than most places you're going to find that offer lesser amenities.

Highland Park is a really beautiful place. They only opened up about a year and a half ago. You walk in and it's like you're in a resort. The staff is very good and their services are good, too. My uncle is in a semi-private room, but even though he has a roommate, he doesn't see his roommate at all. The bathroom is in between them and each one has his own entrance. It's really nice. The grounds are really beautiful and he is able to go outside because it's all enclosed, so he won't be able to walk out. They have Bingo, music, singing, and Wine Wednesdays, which is like an open bar.
