"Mother was at Emmanuel Center for about a month, and it was better, nicer, cleaner, and safer. The staff was better than average. I guess, she is in the beginnings of dementia. Her issue is that she would think that people didn’t take care of her in a timely manner, but we as her family thought that they were much better. I just admire the work that they tried to do with the patients. "

"My mom had her physical therapy as Mt. Carmel Nursing Rehab Center. They also had the medical part to make sure that she was okay from the stroke the she had in her spine. The people there were very professional. They were very helpful and respectful. They had her on a schedule and they made sure that she had her therapy. They also took care of her diabetes and coumadin and everything else she needed medically. They provided activities for the patients. They even had her do some chopping and stuff to help make soup. The room that she was in was very clean and neat. I had nothing negative to say about them. "

"My Dad moved into Shenandoah Senior Living last year. Nursing staff is kind and caring and always available. Rooms are large and clean. Facility is Clean and modern. All staff I have met are friendly and helpful. Therapy room is well equipped. Food menu could be better, but meals are timely and staff always assist in prepping food as my Dad needs help. Activities include multiple bingo and game sessions a week, various visits musical guests (including a poka band). A craft room is also available. Each room has a seperate HVAC split unit for custom temperature control if warmer or cooler temperature is desired from general facility."

"The Laurels is a very nice facility. It is a new building with only 100 residents. The rooms are all bright and welcoming. It has beautiful mountain views. In all I am very happy with the facility. The food is all made from scratch, which I think is very important to your diet. Family is welcome to join for meals for a small charge. They have a lot of different activities for the residents to do everyday from bingo, to religious services, to arts and crafts to movie nights. They also provide day trips which they charge $1 for in order to hold your seat. Some of the day trips are a trip to the mall or a lunch trip to a local restaurant. Every floor has a social room with a television and games for the residents and family members to enjoy. Laundry is done twice a week and rooms are cleaned every day. Residents are also brought to and from doctors appointments if necessary. All of the things I listed prior are included in the monthly cost. They also have amenities at an extra cost such as a hair salon on the first floor. The staff is always friendly and curteous. I could not be happier with where my grandmother is. I feel that she is safe and very well taken care of. "

"Fritzingertown Senior Living Community was excellent. The care was wonderful. I never, ever worried about my father's care down there. I was immediately aware of anything that happened. They just went out of their way. There were so many nursing staff there, and the care level was excellent. My dad was like one of their own, and that was how they made everyone feel; like he was family. It was extremely clean. They went into the rooms daily and cleaned them. The place was immaculate. The only thing my father complained a little about was sometimes he didn't like the menu. They didn't have a wide range of options if they didn't like what was on the main meal, but they accommodated them to the best that they could. "

"We moved my father to Providence Place. The room he is in has a bathroom, a living room, and a separate bedroom. The staff is very nice. They would evaluate him, and they would tell me of his progress. In the morning, they have coffee at the café, and then they talk about current events. Then they have movies, and they do work on the computer for memory. There are different activities during the day. They do the same thing almost every day. The facility is fancy-pretty, but it is very relaxing. "

"Nottingham Village is satisfactory, except for the fact that it would take my son a little longer to get there. I really like it though. They have separate houses, but I can have a 1-bedroom or 2-bedroom. It is a smaller area, like a town that you could drive into. There are not so many stores or banks available, but it is satisfactory. The staff is very friendly. The community is very clean and well run. They have some beautiful homes. The price is a little higher, but they offer a little bit more. They have a dining room and a café where you can buy what you want."

"Fernwood Manor is a very welcoming and warm establishment. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. It is in quiet Sweet Valley, PA. The building is set up well and in good shape, something that a lot of other facilities neglect sometimes. No code or qualification issues/violations that I have ever known of. The rooms are spacious, not the biggest in the industry but definitely above the average room. Staff response times and availability are very fast and extremely helpful. "

"I like the Wolf Run Village’s location as it is near to me and the cost i good. We thought it was wonderful, and the facility looked wonderful. They are very helpful in giving us our options. The rooms are great, and they had a huge dining room. I like the atmosphere, and there is room to move around. "

"We have chosen Rockwell Retirement Center for my father. We are going to move him sometime this month. I was happy with it. I had a good impression of the staff. The apartment we got for my father was adequate sized for him, and I think it will be good for him. Right now, they have no shared activities. With Covid, they're limiting activities with any other people. As far as visit, we are allowed to go in and take him out of there to go on trips to go away from there, but you can't go in and visit. You also can drop certain things for him. My aunt has lived there for years, and I have a cousin who has also lived there, and I've never heard of any issues with them. However, I didn't get to see all their stuff because of Covid. It was an old high school that had been refurbished back in the late 1980s, so it is quite a huge building. They can get out for exercise and walk through the hallways, and I saw several residents doing that while I was taking my tour. I didn't see any problems with cleanliness."

"My mother was a resident of Smith Nursing Home before her passing. I found the staff responsive to her needs. The facility was well taking care of inside and out. Hopefully I will not need to go to facility like this? If I do, this is where I would want to go."
