My husband has been in Orangeville Nursing & Rehabilitation Center for a month now. Just like every nursing home in the area, they need more people to work there and they're looking. Right now, I don't think they're hiring anybody extra because of COVID. Everything's kind of shut down for now, but he's adjusting. He's enjoying having a roommate. The nurses are wonderful. The staff is exceptional. The only problem is they don't have enough people working there and I'm pretty sure that's the case everywhere. The food is OK, some days are better than others. It's very clean, but they do not have central air, which completely boggles my mind. When Medicare was finished with their 20 days of providing physical therapy, they told me that from then on, it would cost me $400 a day for two hours of physical therapy and that really kind of blew my mind. The staff members are very nice, and they're working very hard. They're trying to take care of everybody as best they can with the time that they have. Yesterday, the dinner was beautiful. They have an outside area that looks very nice. They have some areas with nice big windows so that they can look out on the outdoors, which is nice. I just think they charge more than anybody else around or at least no less.
