"Heather Glen is a beautiful, nicely appointed facility-- but even more significant is the professionalism, enthusiasm, and warmth of everyone working there including the administrator, the marketing director, the nurse, the activities coordinator, the med techs, and the caretakers. I appreciate the individual care and attention they give to my sister. It's impressive the effort all made to learn my sister's needs and interests. We are so happy that Heather Glen is now open. My family and I strongly recommend it!"

"Phoebe Allentown was very nice. It also has a very good reputation for the people that stayed there, but it’s older, so it's not as pretty. They have picnics. It’s a very nice location as it’s close to a number of things in Allentown. The food was fine. They are very good in the nursing home and memory care. They were very top of the line, and they do a lot of very progressive things. "

"I toured Riverton Enhanced Senior Livington. The staff was nice, and I liked the way they showed me around. The place and dining area were nice, but if you go to work out at the gym there, the gym is too small."

"My mother-in-law is currently at Bethlehem Manor right now in their respite-rehab program. The physical therapy comes into the facility two times a week, so that's how she's getting her rehab. It's a small place and it's good. She has good days and bad days. It is just her not wanting to be there, but I think overall it is good. Everyone seems really nice to me, but you got some bad apples in every facility. I didn't have a problem with them, my mom has a problem with a couple of them, but I think it is just her, and I don't think it is the staff alone. I think it is just she not wanting to be there. I like it because it is a smaller facility and everyone knows everyone, so I like it. They were having a Memorial Day picnic for them, and they bring festivities into the place. It's nice. She seems to enjoy the food, too. They have a whole calendar of activities for June."

"Atrium of Allentown was very up-to-date and extremely stylish. It was so nice. We're like, "Wow, I would live here." The rooms were spacious. The bathrooms were like out of a hotel. They were beautiful. Price-wise, they might have been less than the others. They were right in there in the price range that we were trying to spend, which was right around $6000 a month. We did not eat their food, but we saw their food and we saw their dining room, which was set up nice, and there were stations that they could go to where they have snacks and drinks put out and stuff like that. We wanted that place so bad that they went and did a second assessment on my dad, which I thought was super nice. They said, "Let's go back again and just check again." Unfortunately, they just couldn't take care of him. They have a big room where they do activities, and it was nice. There's a big TV up there. They had courtyards they could go into. They had a common area with a TV and seating. They had a room upstairs and it almost reminded me of a banquet room. They had an elevator, and they play games and they have movie night up there. They had a lot of activities for the people. Everything was brand new and you could just tell because all the rooms had that gray flooring. You could just tell everything's very modern. Even the lady who was helping me joked, "If you're looking for glitz and glamor, Atrium is the place.""

"It is also very nice and it is more like a home. The staff is very caring. The lady that I meet, she has a nice room with a big closet. They have a lot of activities. My friend is there and she always says that the food is good. They have a nice facility where you and your family can meet and have dinner together. That is where I think I want to go and I will recommend them to others. "

"I had a loved one that lived here at the end of 2020 and I was very pleased with how the staff treated her. They were wonderful with us and helped her with the ipad so that we could talk to her even when we couldn't come visit. I felt very comfortable knowing that Mom was there and that she was being taken care of."

"We are thinking of moving my mom to The Corrigan House. The place looks very beautiful, lovely, and homey. The tour was very instructive and they were compassionate. The person who gave the tour couldn't have been more helpful. And the rooms I saw were very nice, spacious, clean, and welcoming. Their dining area looked very nice. It was like a small, cozy restaurant."

"I went to this facility looking for care for my parents. I visited 3 more facilities after this visit and I must say, I was totally impressed with this place. It looked immaculate, people were friendly, lots of activities, and I wished I could live there! I would have placed my parents here but unfortunately; their finances didn’t allow for them to be in this facility. We were looking for a facility that would take Medicaid. I was very impressed."

"My sister moved up to Phoebe Richland Community. It was very welcoming. They gave her all the physical therapy she could handle, which was great. She had physical therapy almost every day and occupational therapy almost every day when she got there. She still gets it quite frequently. The staff is very nice. She enjoys the other residents there. She says she has a wonderful time getting to know them and they're very caring also. I was there one Saturday when the director himself was helping someone move into their memory care area. He was moving the clothing and stuff in himself on a Saturday. They're just delightful. There's an exercise class of some kind every morning, wheelchair volleyball, chair, or tai-chi. There's at least one activity every morning and one or two activities every afternoon. Every day I call or when I talk to my sister, she'll say, "Oh yes, we had an exercise this morning." It's a smaller place, so they can't offer the diversity of activities that a larger facility might offer. The assisted living has a beautiful lounge area when you walk in. The dining room is lovely. You couldn't ask for anything better. I get no complaints from my sister except there's no salt, but she can bring some herself. That's for health reasons. I saw two small library reading areas, a game room, a big lounge, and a dining room. She's in a temporary room right now because there were no rooms available, so it's a little small but very nice and furnished. It has a dresser, a wardrobe, a chair, a bed, a little kitchenette, and a beautiful bathroom that's handicapped accessible. It is less expensive than others for definitely something better. Their staff is especially caring. This place is much more consistent with their staffing, which means the staff gets to know their people better."

"We visited a year ago, so everything was under COVID regulations. We only got to visit the rooms and dining room, but no one was being taken out to the dining room or going in activities because of COVID. The place was beautiful and very clean. The rooms were lovely. The staff members were very friendly. Overall, it seemed to be a very comfortable environment. The girl who gave us the tour was very helpful. She followed up with me occasionally to see if we were interested in any of the accommodations for my mother."

"The staff at Penn Assisted Care was very nice and very friendly. There were two people to a room, and the rooms were very nice. The place was clean, and it didn’t smell. It was right on Main St, which I really like. It was right in town, and it was convenient to banks, restaurants, and drugstores. I really liked it, my daughter liked it, and he liked it, but he is not ready to go yet. It was very clean, and the staff was very nice. It was small; that is why I like it. "

"Pond View Manor Personal Care Home was a very small facility, they only have about eight residents there, and that's where I want to place my mother. I thought they were excellent. It was very personal. I mean, they were very caring. I went there, like 4 visits, and every time I went there it was nice. It was a homey environment. The clients there were smiling. They seemed like a very loving community. When I got there one day they were doing memory-type games. It was great because then they had a discussion, and I thought that was good for a mind game. Then I went down and I talked to the owner of the place and then when I came back, they were doing exercises. They were doing gas, pedal, scissors. When they were sitting down, they were doing arm exercises, and then they got together. A gentleman and another woman were doing a puzzle together. Two women were playing cards, and another woman was reading. So I thought, it was like they were all in this one community room and they were all doing different things, but they were all talking with each other. So I did like that place an awful lot, but most of the people are very mobile. They could get around pretty well with a walker, and my mom needs a lot more assistance now. The staff was excellent, she followed up with me after I went to visit, and she would call me once a week to catch up and say "How's your mother? How are things going?""
