The Village Retirement Center

I wasn't quite ready to go into a care facility, that's why I've kind of set my mind on The Village Retirement Center. It offered apartments in a senior community, so it's more like apartment living. On my visit, I liked the way the community looks. It's very well-kept, and it looks so peaceful. It's set back off the street into a nice little area. The apartments are nicely spread out, so you have a little room, and they just look wonderful. The staff who toured me was very kind and considerate. She answered all our questions. They offer a cafeteria, but you're on your own for food. They don't have very many amenities because it's just apartment living, but they have a chapel which is just beautiful, and they have a really nice common area. They also encourage the residents to volunteer in the areas which I found very nice.
