I went to StoryPoint Gahanna. I like the fact that they have a washer and dryer in each room, and it's a small up-and-down washer and dryer, and that was positive. The staff was very friendly. The cleanliness and structure of the building was excellent. The rooms were decent. They were not tiny, but they were good. I looked at one that was a one-bedroom, but it had a den and a large kitchen. It had a full kitchen and refrigerators.

The apartments are well maintained and spacious. Lots of natural light from windows and balconies. The staff organize fantastic activities that are inclusive of physical abilities. The property and staff are terrific. Transportation services support outside appointments.

The things that I believe stand out the most about StoryPoint is the interaction with staff, and the activities and amenities offered. Not only is there a hair salon, a bistro, and a family gathering/party room but there is a monthly calendar that careful planning has gone into for meaningful activities. There are planned excursions for both appointments, and fun activities -- the Conservatory and a chocolate factory/gift shop are two that come to mind. There are trips to the post office, local churches, Target, Penneys, as well as help to get to medical appts. Family is invited to many events -- we have taken part in special meals, grandparents day, the recognition of when our aunt read her testimony, and musical entertainment. Every holiday is acknowledged in some way, some of them in numerous ways. I think the facilities are beautiful and there are many spaces to socialize and relax. I cannot say enough good things about the caring staff and what a team they have built. In addition to an activity team, they arrange such things as flu shots, podiatrist, etc. It has kept our aunt active -- as an Ambassador, she has led bible study, and participates regularly in bingo, cards, puzzles, games and too many events to mention.

Very pleased with the activities provided. It is so nice that the residents have opportunities to go on outings. The care staff are friendly and helpful which is so different from the previous community my mother was in. My only suggestion for improvement would be in housekeeping.

I cannot say enough good things about StoryPoint Gahanna. The facility looks like a 5 Star Resort. The staff including management are all friendly, competent and caring; treat my husband like their family member. Food is very good; the soups and homemade desserts are especially good. Activities are plentiful. Music, card games, in-house theater nights, special events like Grandparents Day, Cinco de Mayo celebration, pool parties, ice cream socials, and many more are over-the-top for residents and their families. My husband, who didn’t want to move to assisted living but who needed to, is very happy with his life here. Making friends , having fun, eating good food in beautiful surroundings . I’m happy too and enjoy visiting with him nearly daily.

My parents are fortunate enough to reside in one of the extremely nice cottages that Story Point offers. It really gives them the true feeling of independence. Everyone I have interacted with has been extremely kind and professional. I was really impressed with how much the staff made me and my parents feel welcome after they had just transitioned from over 2,500 miles away from a home they lived in for over 30 years. My parents love being able to dine and socialize with the other residents three meals a day :) The community offers alot of options for everyone, from rides to appointments, and weekly outings, whether it be for shopping, or entertainment. There are alot of things to do on site as well. There is a movie theater, and puzzles and books galore. The hair salon is a big hit with my folks. We really enjoy the family involved events that are held for various holidays and other reasons for gatherings and celebrations. I think what means the most to me, is to know that there is someone always available to help out with whatever need arises, no matter how big or small the issue is. I would strongly suggest Story Point to anyone looking for a great Senior Living Community!

Facilities are beautiful. My dad’s apartment is very nice. I like that they have a system to check up on everyone each morning. The food could be better, I will say. But the staff have been great to my dad, and I know he’s enjoying getting to know the other residents.

I visited StoryPoint Gahanna. I totally loved the property, specifically the little cottages, and they only had eight. The only downside of that was that they are set aside from the main building, which I loved, but in the winter they have to either drive over to the main building or walk, and they go over a little bridge. The only thing is you would be out in the elements. They should have a walkway that is an overhang or closed in for those people that live in those little cottages to get over to the main building for meals, for their exercise group, and all that. The cottages are darling. They've got attached garages, but the other garages are separate. You would have to walk to your garage and get your car, so you would be out in the elements. That was the only downfall that I saw. The property was clean and very well kept. It's beautiful. They have a continental breakfast, which I probably would skip. The staff member during the tour was fabulous. Everybody was very helpful. The receptionist was very helpful. There's independent on one side of the building and assisted on the other, but he explained that you could stay in independent living as long as possible. They could have people come in and help. If I had surgery and I needed help taking a shower or something like that, they will assist with that to keep you in independent living as long as possible. I did not see an apartment because they are at 100 percent full capacity, so that tells you something right there. They are totally full. They have a waiting list.

My wife has been in StoryPoint Gahanna for a month now. We went to the park today. We went out to dinner. She's walking now. She's going to be out of memory care, and I'm moving in there to an assisted living facility. The apartment is average. The staff there is extremely good. There's an activities coordinator who works only in the memory care facility and she has something going on every day. I've eaten several meals. Most of it is quite good. Every once in a while, I'll see little papers on the floor or something, but when you're dealing with 35 memory care people, I'm sure it's very difficult to pick up after them all the time. The activities are outstanding. They do activities all the time. Their meals are in the memory care dining room. They have a very charming little outdoor patio with an enclosed garden where they can sit in chairs and it's very pleasant. It is very well done. The staff is wonderful. One time, one of the residents fell. I timed to see what the response time would be for a nurse to appear, and it was three-and-a-half minutes, which wasn't bad. A nurse came from one of the other areas. The staff has been extremely caring and kind to my wife and to all the other people.

Story Point is a wonderful place. It’s beautifully decorated and very comfortable. There are lots of activities for all kinds of interests, and the staff members are the best. They are always friendly and helpful and go above and beyond to make it a great, fun place to live. Mom is very happy there and enjoys the other residents. She has a very nice apartment with a kitchen, living room, a washer and dryer, two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a patio.

My parents have been residents at StoryPoint for about 8 months. Like many aging parents who were used to their home and independence, this was not an easy transition at first. The staff at StoryPoint made this process go very smoothly and went out if their way to make StoryPoint their new home. From the great staff to the many activities, they made the adjustments look easy. We are very grateful to the staff at StoryPoint for their caring approach to help our parents feel at home.

StoryPoint Gahanna maintains the exterior grounds well and the flowering plants are great. The facility also keeps the interior looking new and attends to any maintenance needs of residents promptly. There are plenty of activities for residents and they serve meals 3x a day in the main dining room or can deliver to residents room. My mom loves her neighbors and loves the daily chair exercises and walks, and dinner discussion.

The apartments are adequately sized for their intended purpose. The staff encourages the residents to socialize in the common areas with the other residents, so the apartment, at least in my mother's case, is basically to sleep and for bathing. The facilities are always clean and smell fresh. The staff is very caring and attentive. Activities are scheduled daily and they really strive to keep the residents active and participating in something. Optional outings are also scheduled so residents can enjoy an occasional lunch or other outing outside of the facility. My mother, who has been a resident for a little over three years, has participated in several bell and voice choirs around the holidays. She has always been musical and still enjoys it so much. There is a piano in the immediate area that she will also play on occasion. There is a beautiful courtyard and garden area that the residents can access and enjoy at their leisure. The courtyard also contains a putting green. As far as the care, my mother takes advantage of the opportunity to see the Nurse Practitioner that visits the facility on a weekly basis. This aids greatly in not having to take her outside of the facility for periodic doctor visits. We have also decided to use their pharmacy service to manage all of the various medications. On a related note, my father is in the facility as well, on the independent living side. He's been there for a little over a year. He wanted to be closer to mom and finds his apartment to be comfortable and well suited for his current needs. His apartment has a washer and dryer, bathroom, kitchenette, separate bedroom, living room, and a patio that overlooks a beautiful garden courtyard with a fountain. He gets three nice meals a day in the dining room(s), and enjoys interacting with the other residents during meals. That side of the facility has an on-site beautician/barber (that both mom and dad utilize), a theater, library, bistro with some snacks available, and numerous common areas where residents can gather and socialize. All in all we are very happy with the amenities and level of care and oversight they both receive at StoryPoint Gahanna .

We helped move our parents into Story Point in September of 2022. It was a big move for our them as they left their home of 28 years and moved into an independent living facility. The staff at Story Point couldn’t have been more helpful and welcoming. They introduced them to everyone and made them feel at home. There are tons of activities for our parents to participate in. The facilities are new and beautifully decorated. Best of all, our parents are in a safe environment! We love Story Point and all it has to offer.

Storypoint has been a wonderful transition for my mom into independent living. From the very beginning the staff was so helpful, informative, and welcoming to answer all our questions and meet her needs in every way. She has been there for 3 months now and absolutely thriving. My mom is enjoying all aspects of social engagement and building relationships in her new home. As an only child who helped manage this process for my parent, I highly recommend to others who are beginning their journey with against parents.

Our mom moved into Assisted Living at Story Point in 2019. Her apartment is the perfect size and allowed us to bring some of her favorite pieces of furniture. We appreciate the variety of activities Story Point offers daily. While our mom doesn’t always participate, she does enjoy them as a bystander. They also plan family events throughout the year. Most importantly, the staff treats our mom with kindness making her feel safe and content.

My sisters found this place for my mother after my father passed and they wanted her nearer to them. And we are so glad they did! Everyone in this place seems to always have a smile on their face! They have really taken care of and been patient with my mom, even as her memory loss gets worse and the challenges that involves. They are dog friendly, which we appreciated while my mom could take care of her dog. He was the world to her. Charlie was a handful, I’m sure, but we rarely heard any complaints about him. They constantly have fun, different activities for her and we all enjoy seeing her picture on Facebook participating.

I liked StoryPoint Gahanna a lot. It was really a pretty facility. It was one of the newer ones that I saw. They had a nice amount of activities, and they had nice rooms to hold activities in. I felt the rooms were a little more expensive compared to the other places I had been. The tour I had was not as comprehensive as the other ones I had, but it was still a good tour. I still got the feeling of the building, what the rooms looked like, and what the people were like. The building was new and it was nicely decorated. You would feel comfortable there.

My mom has been at Story Point for a year. She is very comfortable in her apartment which we made to look as much like her previous home as possible. I’m there at least once a week and front desk staff is great. Mom plays Bingo twice a week, has been on several outings and enjoys the weekly entertainment. She gets her hair done in the salon every week. I’m glad she moved here so she is closer to me and Story Point suits her well.

This is a lovely facility with caring staff. Each staff person we encountered is helpful, kind and professional. We were pleased with the room layouts, public spaces, activities offered, and amenities. The staff at StoryPoint Gahanna made my Mom’s transition as smooth as possible. Mom has already made some friends, tried new activities (bingo!) started some physical therapy to get stronger, and set some goals about being more active. She hasn’t even been there three weeks yet and she says it feel like home. As family members, we were please with how clean, light and bright this facility was. We found the price point for independent living to be comparable to other facilities in the area when we compared square footage. We enjoy following StoryPoint on FaceBook to see some of the fun activities and events that are planned. Even family far away get a peek at the fun. The staff answered all our question during the moving process and helped us figure out how to make Mom’s transition as low-stress as possible. We know we made the right choice for Senior Living for our Mom’s situation.

My parents have lived at Storypoint for a year now. I’m very impressed by the fellowship opportunities that are offered. They regularly organize activities for the entire family to enjoy. My grandson always likes spending time there. We’ve gone to the carnival, live music offerings, Bingo and tailgate fun just to name a few. The facility is well maintained and clean and staff is always nice and helpful. I am satisfied.

My dad has lived in other facilities, and was happy there, but he LOVES StoryPoint! The size of the apartment, the washer/dryer in the apartment, the many activities that are offered make this truly a home for him. More importantly, the care that my dad receives is outstanding. Each nurse, aide, and caregiver knows every resident so well! They treat him as if he was their own family member, encouraging him to drink water, eat healthy, exercise, and to participate in group activities. The PT and OT has been super at improving Dad’s strength, mobility, and independence. He looks forward to the sessions! One thing my dad enjoys is the opportunity to share meals and activities with residents from independent living as well as from assisted living. This gives him the chance to swap stories with lots of people, which brings him joy. The staff on the floors are great, and the support we’ve received from the office staff has been excellent as well. If you’re looking for an outstanding place for your loved one, look no further. StoryPoint will care for your loved one so that you can rest easy that they are happy and healthy!

StoryPoint of Gahanna is absolutely wonderful! We are so pleased with the facility. My dad loves having his own space with his own furniture! He has such a beautiful and spacious apartment. He loves the freedom and I love knowing that someone is there when he needs. They are welcoming and always answer your calls and questions. I would recommend StoryPoint to anyone. My Aunt has been a resident for 2.5 years and loves the facility and the staff. She is very active in the community and participates in many scheduled programs. I appreciate the large amount of events and functions that are offered inside and outside the community. She is a resident ambassador for new residents and enjoys interacting with everyone. Her room is spacious and she loves it! The staff has been very responsive to any questions that I have asked and interact well with each other and the residents. I also appreciate that my Aunt feels safe and secure in the facility.

My parents have been at Storypointe since the beginning (almost). They have a two bedroom independent apartment. The place is gorgeous and very clean. There is always something going on such as trips to the fair, bingo, Live Music or shopping. My mother passed away last year and my dad feels so comfortable there. He particularly makes use of the library. At 92 my dad is happy, is safe, is independent, and has made any friends. The staff is amazing from just listening to teaching dad how to work his cell phone. 100% recommend.

My mother lives here in a one bedroom with full kitchen and a small den room that she uses for an office. There are many different floor plans, but hers is very spacious. The indoor public area is very pretty and there are outdoor patios. Staff has always been helpful and friendly. Housekeeper comes several times a month. Residents have different activities offered and many themed parties which often are open to families. They have live entertainment, trips, games, library, movies, art classes, cooking classes.

I loved StoryPoint Gahanna. The memory care was beautiful. It's top-shelf. It was by far the nicest one around and it's brand new. They had plenty of staff and they had lots of activities. Everything was just real lively. I would have loved my mom there, but it was just out of my price range. The rooms were OK. They only had one room available and it was a room for two people. The dining area was also very nice. Everything else was excellent.

I am currently living at StoryPoint Gahanna. The people are very, very nice. The staff members are just wonderful. They are very helpful, and they treat us really nice. I'm very pleased. The food is OK. I wouldn't say it's great, but if we don't like what's being served for dinner, we have choices of optional things that we could get. The facility is really nice. They have activities all the time and every day. You could be busy all day long if you want to. I had a budget, and it's within my budget. I have two bedrooms, two baths, and a full kitchen. It is really awesome.

We have moved into StoryPoint Gahanna. It's very clean and it's well decorated. The staff members are friendly. They don't always do what you ask, but they're friendly. They have different programs like sit and exercise, music programs, and people coming in. They play euchre here, but I don't play euchre. They have something going on every day. There's a beauty salon, two libraries, and a public TV that you can watch. We get three meals a day. There is a cleaning lady that comes every other week. It's too cold here. They got the air-conditioning up sky-high, so it's cold and I don't like the food. It's a 3 because of the temperature. The food here is not tasty, but I guess they can't help it because it's institutional food. The staff members are friendly and helpful when they can be. The other residents are not friendly. They have already formed their groups.

It had great activities, great facilities, and a great staff. They were just fabulous. In this place, I actually got to see a real activity going on. The residents were very engaged. I got to talk to the staff too. It's not brand new, but it's really quite nice. The dining room was serviceable and very sunny. They all had great views. There's a salon, a secure courtyard in the center, a movie room, and all kind of stuff like that.

We liked it very much so. We actually would've put my aunt there if they had a room available for what we were looking for at the time. It was a nice facility, well kept, it had a lot of activities, had the various options of level of care, and the site was in a good location. The staff seemed nice and transportation was available. They serve meals, and they had a chef available.

We moved my parents in. They started in assisted living, then my dad passed away and then my mom moved to the memory care unit. The place was beautiful, very accommodating, and clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. They were very topnotch. The food was very good and there were lots of choices. I would highly recommend them. They had movie nights, music, arts and crafts, the resident's club for the memory care people was very good, and they had outings. They had a variety of activities. The value was very good.

I went over for an open house and was pretty much sold. They had ample-sized bedrooms separate from the living room. The staff seemed wonderful, and the food was top quality. They served us prime ribs, shrimps, and wine. They had a bar, beauty shop, and were getting ready to open a massage room.
