"Well my sister has been a resident of Valley Healthcare for about 1½ weeks now. Since COVIC-19 prevents visitors from visiting loved ones, I really can not share my experience of the overall facility. But what I can share is if the staff is anything like BRAD from ADMINISTRATION, VALLEY HEALTHCARE is an AWESOME, CARING, HELPFUL, and a kind of place I would recommend for your family member. I have seen improvement in my sister since being at the facility. And once again a big S/O to BRAD from ADMINISTRATION - YOU ARE AWESOME, JUST AWESOME and thank you BRAD for your patience and help with my sister yesterday 5/21/20!! Gloria Allen"

"My dad stayed in Rimrock Villa Conv Hospital. It was clean, but the nurse there, we weren't happy with her. She was very rude. We would be asking her questions, and it's just her attitude, and she would say, "I'm the only one who can do that. You talk to me." and all this kind of stuff, but we were happy with one of the girls there. Donna, we really like her. She was kind to my dad. My dad had problems, and she would sit with him until we got there. She was very nice, understanding, and caring. There's a room where they watch movies, and my dad goes in there and stays for a little while. They had call buttons, and he was pushing the button while we weren't there. He would be pushing the button a lot, so they ended up taking his call button away from him and not letting him call. It's irritating for us. He even got out of his bed, and one time he fell. My dad hated the food. It was always the same thing. They always had chicken, chicken and rice, chicken and mashed potatoes, chicken and vegetables, and everything was chicken. One time they had fish, and he didn't like that. We thought it was very expensive for what he got. He wears a catheter, and it didn't get cleaned. He was always getting infections. It wasn't dumped. Sometimes, even when we got there, it was full."

"please dont take your family here they dont take care of their patients! patients come in and leave worse than before. tons of bed sores from sweating all day and night and sitting in their own feces and urine. the staff doesnt care about the care they give, the nurse assistants and RNS sleep on the night shift. "I have chf and had to stay at bear valley community hospital. The nursing staff was very rude to me and refused to give me my presribed pain meds and did nothing to eliminate the swelling in my body. The talked down to me like i was a fool. the food is horrible and the skilled nursing department don is a rude bitch. I was glad to get out of that place. The are so behind in the times its ridiculous. The rumors and drama from the staff with each other if ridiculous and the noise in the middle of the night was terrible "

"My husband was at Ballard Rehabilitation Hospital. They offered more of a high intense workout and he couldn't do it. He didn't spend enough time there, but when he was there, he was happy. He just wanted to go home. It was very clean. The staff members weren't as cheerful, but you could see them all working together. Their meals were good. They cleaned all the time. They took care of the rooms. The outdoor area was really nice. We never got to go at the back, but they had a place for the families to get together, like a patio for them. The administration staff was terrific."

"The Veterans Home didn't seem as organized as I would have liked to see it, but the staff was somewhat organized. The day we were there, we waited for half an hour to get somebody to show us around, but then they didn't have anyone available and somebody in a wheelchair had to show us around. I think they should give a little more attention to the people because it seemed some of them were on their own; not too much assistance. "

"The staff at Highland Palms Healthcare Center were very nice, but there were not enough of them in my mom's area. I wish there was just more of them, so they would be more attentive to the patients, but they did a good job with the cleanliness. "

"We went to Laurel. They took us on a tour and gave us information we needed. We met one woman and a few coworkers briefly and they seemed to be very nice and that was about it. In terms of activities, at that time, they were doing something in the activity room but since we were on a tour, we didn't stand and watch what they were doing and they didn't allow us to do that. The visit was very quick and we didn't spend a lot of time there. Also, they didn't have a room available for my mom. The reason why we can't put my mother there is because their secure unit, which is locked down, is full right now unless somebody dies. The other parts of the home are unsecured but they don't worry about that because their residents are wheelchair bound. Overall, we really like this place, they just didn't have space for my mother. "
