Please know that there are better places than this one. The director of the facility is vile and ignorant. The facility is understaffed so there is a lack of care. Very few activities to keep the residents engaged and happy. They need to work on the overall “mood” of this facility.

My wife was at Cypress Pointe Rehabilitation Center and it was one of the worst experiences we ever had. She had trouble with her legs not cooperating but they gave up on that, and that was the only thing they had to do for her. I was in there every single day, I never saw them do one thing to any patient. They had patients in there that didn't know where they were. There were 2 members of the staff that were very good. I had trouble with the other staff, and I had trouble with the director. When I told her I was taking my wife home, she told me I can't handle her but I took her anyway. All they ever did was put her in her wheelchair to go outside in their little courtyard. My wife wasn't supposed to be on a completely pureed diet but they did anyway, and it's the worst thing I have ever looked at. My wife never ate them. The only person who ever did something to her was the doctor who gave her oxygen. There was also another person who came in that saw her condition and prescribed antidepressants, which helped her a lot. I took her out of there as fast as I could.

My dad was in Cypress Pointe Rehabilitation Center. We weren't too impressed with a lot of things but the physical therapy that my dad got while he was there was excellent. But apparently, dad fell a lot while he was there, he fell out of bed, and they didn't do a whole lot to prevent him from falling out of the bed. He always complained several times a day that they manhandled him. He wasn't very happy with them. His other facility looked so much nicer. This one is a little bit older, maybe that's why the aesthetics weren't so appealing. The rehab staff did an excellent job but he was upset with the other staff. The food was pretty good. Medicare picked up the tab because it's considered short-term care.
