"The Laurels was really nice. It was actually located very close to the mall. I was very pleased, the rooms were very nice, but it didn't have an open feeling. The staff were great, very attentive, friendly, extremely knowledgeable, and helpful. "

"My brother is at Kannapolis Family Care Home. I like that he has other people there to talk to, and I like that there are two people there all the time. He gets his medicine on time. He needs everything done for him, so they do everything for him. They seem to be very knowledgeable about their job, very caring, and very attentive. I don't have anything bad to say about the staff. I have not tasted the food, but I have seen my brother eat, and the food looks good. It's a lot better than where he was before. With regards to the building, it is deeply cleaned every two weeks. It always looks clean. However, I'll have to supply all his supplies like his diapers, wipes, and pads for the bed. And I didn't have to do that before. Nevertheless, everybody seems to be very calm, satisfied, and familiar with each other. They seem to be at peace."

"The Gardens is certainly not one of the worst assisted living facilities in Statesville. It is a smallish facility with a pretty low caregiver to patient ratio. The facility offers lots of opportunities for it's residents to interact with one another and to be in a social setting. My family was overall very pleased with the care that was provided to my grandmother at The Gardens. Upon entering the facility she was very hesitant but the staff made it a point to interact with her and allow her as much freedom as was possible. Most of the caregivers are CNAs rather than registered nurses but they still provided a wonderful level of care. The staff was wonderful about keeping us updated on any little falls or issues that my grandmother had. The facility itself is not very old and the rooms are very clean and tidy. The maintenance and housekeeping is wonderful and the facility aways seemed to be well cared for, this probably helped so many residents feel at home. "

"I thought Brookdale Peachtree was very nice, but it didn't have any one-bedroom apartments, and that's what I was looking for. The person who gave me the tour was very, very nice, and he gave me lunch, which tasted good. The menu looked good too. They had a library, and the place was clean."

"I toured Brookdale Concord Parkway. It looked very professional. We were happy with it. Everyone looked happy. We got to see what the room would look like and where they would be eating. We got to see the library and the beauty salon. It was all very nice. The room was just like your typical dorm room, but you had to bring your own furniture. However, my dad was kind of upset that we have to bring the furniture in. They have an indoor space in the middle of the pod. It has a piano and board game tables. They have events there for you to attend. It was nice and simple. They have a coffee station, so you can go buy and get your coffee any time you want it, so that was nice. The staff who took us around was terrific. I didn't think he was just treating us as a salesperson by all means. I believed he had our goodwill in his thoughts. He was trying things for us. I would say that it was great. "

"TerraBella Salisbury is really pretty. It had a very good smell when I walked in. It was all clean. It didn't smell like pee. I met the chef. Everybody was nice. They showed me the outside places where they could go out and sit. They showed me where they eat. They showed me a room where you could rent out if you wanted to. They showed me an actual room. The floorplan is nice. It's like a big house and everybody lives in it."

"My Mom has been at Brookdale Salisbury for 3 years. She has been very well cared for even through Covid. Her room is spacious - we were encouraged to decorate it and make it her home. She feels very safe there and has developed many new friendships. They are very good at building community and plan fun activities for the residents. The staff there has been caring and consistent. "I had a nice tour of Dilack Home. I like the atmosphere. The only thing they had was the available apartment suite, which was not within my budget, so I couldn't do that. Mom would have one bedroom that was pretty large. It was furnished and had a bed and your use of closet. In the apartment homes, they had their own little kitchenettes, which my mother did not need because she had dementia. The staff who gave the tour was very nice and very informative."
