Arbor Ridge at Huntersville

We went to Arbor Ridge at Huntersville, and we were very pleased, but their rooms were tiny. It was a very nice community. It was new. They were friendly. It's just that the room sizes were too small. The staff who gave the tour was very nice and informative.

We toured Arbor Ridge at Huntersville. It had very friendly staff. It's very clean. It had a lot of activities, and pretty much it was just as nice as the other one that we visited. They had coloring activities for the individuals that stayed there. They were singing songs. It's a very good facility.

Terrible experience! I'd give zero stars if I could. We moved my mother into independent living with the idea she would move to assisted living when needed. This was CLEARLY communicated when we signed the papers. About a month in my mother needed to move into AL and was evaluated by their nurse who recommended a Level 2 care (not the highest level) and assigned a unit. We arrived at Arbor Ridge and moved all of my mother's belongings out of her independent living studio into her new AL unit. As we were done moving her things, they informed us she couldn't be there. Their website states: " Rather than hopscotching from one senior living community to another as your loved one’s needs change, Arbor Ridge is bringing three distinct and affordable lifestyle options under one roof. " Not true. My mother was forced out because they can't provide care that they advertise in their own marketing materials. Management was rude, unprofessional, cruel and uncaring. Complete indifference to the stress they induced during an already difficult transition - something we had hoped would be alleviated when we specifically chose this facility for that reason.

Arbor Ridge at Huntersville is brand spanking new, so it's very nice. It was a good location. It's kind of hard not to like, but being brand new, they hadn't proven their programs and things like that yet. The staff was professional. They had a billiards table, and they had quality spaces in terms of being kind of plush. We looked at their monthly plan, and the activities seemed OK. They had fun activities. We looked at both assisted and independent living. The residents were very friendly. They had an outdoor area, but it's located next to an interstate, so it's not nearly as tranquil as other communities. It was subject to interstate noise.
