My mom lives at Silver Lake Specialized Rehab and Care Center. She was hospitalized and needed more care, so they recommended this facility. It's a great place for loved ones. It's kept very clean. The staff was very pleasant. They take the time to get to know you and make you feel like family. They have bingo, exercise, and music classes.

I never doubted that my loved one was being well cared for even during the pandemic when I could not visit. I found comfort in the fact that several staff members I asked said they'd worked there for 15,20,30 years. Also I liked that I saw staff laughing with each other and with patients. Physically the place looks dated but it is clean and what matters is the staff. I was especially grateful to the main nurse on that floor, who was so kind, never "like a robot" and very on top of things.

The facility itself is old but it's clean and everything is well kept. The staff go out of their way to help and have no issues with their dietary plans. The offered a nice meal menu but unlike the hospital you do not get to pick and chose. The food was tasty and fresh and they gave you nice portions. Rooms are dated but clean and the TV is on the wall across from the bed which can be an issue The staff was always attentive and helpful and they had a good rehab center plus a great outside sitting area with both tables and chairs.

I didn't like Silver Lake at all. It looked like a hospital, and I didn't like the smell. I went on one floor and it just seemed like the smell hit me in the face.

My daughter-in-law works at Silver Lake Center and that's where the hospital sent me. It was nice, clean, and the therapy was nice, too. I was comfortable. However, they could update their menu a little more and work on a better dietary plan. Their food was terrible.
